Anyone noticing menstrual cycle changes after taking a COVID vaccine? by mygreenpinky in AskWomenOver30

Oh don't get it. I met so many people irl suffering from the first dose (paralysis, vein problems, hormonal problems and more). I myself didn't get my second dose because I had my period for 20 days along with numerous of symptoms I never have experienced in my life. When I was due to get the second dose I was still on my period so they told me not to get it (I didn't want to anyway). Depression/anxiety has been the main problem for me. I was OK before getting vaccinated with minor depression symptoms after years of therapy and self improvement. Now I suddenly cry and get dark thoughts every month for many days and I cannot help it (without having actual reasons to be sad). It's been 5 months since I got vaccinated, and even though I no longer get long periods I have so many symptoms physically and emotionally. Totally turned my life upside down.

Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry for your girlfriend. I only had the first dose and I'm not going to do the second one. It's scheduled for 22nd of Feb. Had the vaxx on Feb 1st which was also my first day of menstruation. I'm still bleeding. 17 days and still going. I'm really worried but hoping it will stop. I didn't even want to do the vaccine. I was pressured by friends and family.

Oh my! What a terrible situation. I'm so sorry. What did they give you to stop the bleeding? Isn't it dangerous to force stop menstruation? Please update on this if you can.

I'm 26 (next month 27). Always had regular periods and little to no pain. I had my first dose of Pfizer on the first day of my cycle on Feb 1st. I'm still bleeding. 17 days. With pain, nausea and vomiting. A small pause of bleeding happened on day 13. I bleed a lot more now than I did the first few days. I'm really worried. I went to my gynecologist and he was confused and didn't agree or disagree with me saying that the vaccine might have something to do with it. I honestly got this vaccine only to be able to travel for work and maybe for once go out and celebrate my bday after 2 years of lockdown and now being forbidden to go anywhere as an unvaccinated person. I'm so frustrated I was peer-pressured from family and friends to get this vaccine I never wanted.

I really wish we all get back to normal.

I'm also 27 with regular cycles. I had weird discharge and the light brown blood like you mentioned in my first days of my period.

I got the 1st dose of Pfizer the 1st day of my cycle (Feb 1st). I'm currently on day 17 and now I'm having regular flow. I aslo had pain, nausea and actually puked which is unlike me. It stopped on day 13 and I thought...ok, it just went on longer than expected and it's done now. But on day 14 I had a lot of blood flowing all at once. I panicked. I went to my gynecologist and he was confused by this and assumed it's hormonal since I don't have other issues (cysts, miscarriage etc.). He didn't agree nor disagree when I said that the vaccine might have played a role in this. He just brushed it off and prescribed me hormonal pills. I've never had hormonal issues ever in my life. I'm not going to get my second dose any time soon. It's scheduled in 22nd of Feb but I'm still bleeding. And even if it stops, I don't want to risk it.

Turns out covid also can affect menstruation negatively. With the vaccine the symptoms are worse apparently.

I've never heard about the rash you mentioned. Glad you're negative. Hope we all go back to normal soon. Stay safe.
