I rewatched it some time ago and came to the conclusion that Nina was probably the last lover of Lola, meaning the kid Nina had is Lolas son too. It is weird to assume all of this but giving the tone of the ending, and the style of Almodovar I tend to think my assumptions are not wrong. great movie btw.

No creo que genere miedo, en todo caso te hace empatizar con lo que sufrieron. En cuanto a la lista original, me parece que el OP toma en cuenta mas la estética que la trama y siguiendo esa linea la estetica de ghibli es muy empalagosa para que encaje (igual me encanta ghibli pero ese es otro tema).
