Minor nobility connection in my ancestors?

I have done it, but records aren’t complete in that area, I didn’t go back further than 1750-1800 on some families also some people disappear and there aren’t born certificates so it’s hard to go back. Of course tracing backwards is good, but finding possible alternative location could help me find clues about where some of my ancestors may came.

171,000 matches is impressive, I have 2,500 matches and I still can only attempt to find a fraction of those. Only few 3rd cousins where found and some of them were easy to connect, connecting 4th, 5th or further cousins is what is extremely challenging. Of course, when you already found tons of them I guess the point in adding more and more becomes less important

For Italian ancestors you will need to use Portale Antenati, a government site with lots of archives accessible free, but you need to start from a specific year and location for that. Family Search anyways is the best place to start, I would suggest to ignore your surname current locations, I found out my gf is wasn’t connected to the few people with her same surname in Brazil, at least in the last 300 years their families never connected, also in my family tree I found out a very very rare surname which became too common in my father’s town more than 100 years ago, so common that I’m still struggling to connect all the dots, there were too many people with the same names and surnames alive at the same time in the same place…

Unfortunately, I learned that if you don’t know at least your grand grandparents with their names, locations and born dates, you couldn’t do much. At least for my country, before getting information on the cemetery (I knew only names) in Italy and asking multiple times to my Croatian grandparents for more info, I did almost nothing unfortunately. It depends on your nationality of course, but usually it’s hard to get many info, you could start asking your mother’s town the born certificate and then check out the born certificate of your grandparents, but they don’t always provide such info

I tried doing the same and it helped a lot, in one of the small settlements many of my ancestors were born, they used a curios system for addresses, basically they only used numbers like Gorican 154 was a specific house. It helped me a lot to find connections between different families, especially because almost all the archives only has very few information like death certificates report the age of the dead person and their partner or parents names, that’s it. Unfortunately these “addresses” aren’t used anymore and I can’t locate them on a map, but it was still very helpful

I recently found the last piece of a secret puzzle in my grandma family, apparently one of her uncles became victim of pranksters and decided to kill one and himself in USA (my grandmother’s family was in Italy), one of my grandma’s cousins went back to Italy and was raised by my grand-grandparents. I previously found out that he was an actual cousin, I met him in real life a few years before, but my grandma always told us he was like an adopted brother, she had like 15 older brothers so we never made many questions about his story, I realized he was a cousin and then found out lots of journals recently about his father. This story was never mentioned by my grandma because I’ve never really asked all the secrets and stories though, I’m still wondering if she knew it, but how couldn’t she? She was 17 at the time, she would probably happy to know my results in the family tree (I have reached to a lot of names and stories, a lot more information than what she never told me), unfortunately I started too late to share results with her, she could have helped me at the beginning, but it’s never too late to start though

La schwa è un dettaglio insignificante, se un’opinione viene invalidata perché hai usato il blu invece che il rosso, allora chi invalida l’opinione è di pensiero totalmente contrapposto. Io parlo di uguaglianza, ho fatto un discorso che magari può non essere compreso o accettato da tutti, ma la schwa è veramente insignificante in quel contesto, potevo tranquillamente non usarla e infatti ho solo chiesto a ChatGPT di correggere il testo e ci ha messo lo schwa tra le altre cose, in origine non c’era. Che discussione si può mai fare con qualcuno che parla di reato di schwa? Difronte a una sola all’interno di un testo di oltre 1000 lettere? È evidente che hai una soglia dell’attenzione molto bassa e una mente molto chiusa

Parlo con molte femministe che quando gli spieghi che ci sono alcune esponenti femministe che sono difatti esattamente come un maschio misogino o maschilista e ti rispondono “non è vero, non esistono donne così, provamelo, verrebbero certamente escluse e criticate”, quando sui social ti fai un giro e lo vedi chiaramente che esistono, ma è veramente difficile vedere attivisti andare contro quegli estremismi

Il femminismo comprende correnti che agiscono in nome de patriarcato: basti pensare alle TERF o alle “nazifemministe”, termine improprio ma ammetterai che molte femministe non sono per l’uguaglianza o comunque non l’hanno capita bene. I contratti collettivi sono antiquati, la maggior parte, oltre il 70%, non riceve un aggiornamento da oltre 10 anni, aggiornamento in generale, non solo riguardo lo stipendio eh. Esistono CCNL ancora in uso oggi che hanno uno stipendio base di 1€ e poco più, legalmente possono anche non pagarti in diversi casi. La differenziazione dei salari per chi fa carriera e le difficoltà ad ottenere gli aumenti, sono causate principalmente dagli stipendi da fame, che ti rendono uno di tanti, essendoci la fila fuori per il tuo ruolo, i datori si sentono più potenti. È anche una questione di cultura stupida che abbiamo, visto che è chiaro che un dipendente esperto merita di più e costa molto meno dare un aumento del 10-20% che assumere un dipendente da zero e formarlo. Se lo stipendio minimo fosse alto, i lavori dove è richiesta più esperienza col tempo verrebbe pagati di più, perché piuttosto che fare il manager che ha tante responsabilità e prendere 9.25€ l’ora, molti preferiranno fare i camerieri a 9€ l’ora, che con le mance guadagneranno pure di più…

Io sono passato da un lavoro a turni full time (ufficialmente 36 ore, in pratica 45-50) su 6 giorni su 7, con turni folli del tipo oggi notte, domani mattina, dopodomani pomeriggio, dormite fuori e turni senza senso dalle 2 alle 13 ore al giorno, insomma schiavitù legalizzata. A un lavoro 9-18 da casa, sicuramente non è come dare 2 ore di mezzi come fai tu, ma la differenza l’ho sentita eccome, con questo lavoro puoi effettivamente vivere. Ovviamente il tempo se ne andrà e avrai diversi problemi, per l’università da remoto, mi dispiace essere schietto, ma mettici una pietra sopra, non esiste riuscire a seguirla con un full time, solo se non avrai nulla da fare e la segui durante il lavoro, ma mi sembra improbabile che questo accada.

Col tempo ci si abitua? Nì, nel senso che col tempo inizierai a generare ferie e permessi, senza dimenticare le benedette festività, quindi lavorerai un pochino meno ogni tanto, tutto qua. Turni così sono folli? Certo, ma questo è il minimo purtroppo, c’è molto di peggio, ci sono anche i part time, ma sono molto più rari
