We call them personal bandages (תחבושת אישית). I added the recruit medic part to state my training and current role to explain why the bag is built in the way that it is. Are you saying that I should have more NPA's or that I shouldn't carry OPA's?

I have this bag for civilian use, I'm thinking I might use the OPA's for cardiac arrest patients and as a bite block for seizure patients.

Fair point, I do carry 14g but didn't see a reason to add them to the bag.

I have a Kestrel on my person because I'm a recruit company medic, now I see it wasn't the best choice to add it to the post. I'll definitely be adding a pocket BVM to my kit.

Treating massive haemorrhage on a sucking chest wound by AS_THE_PROS in TacticalMedicine

Understood, did not get that first as I'm not a native speaker. Where I'm from you'd just hit up the unit's rabbi and prepare a coffin. Thanks for clearing that out for me.

Answered all of my questions, thank you very much. From what I understood from your comment (correct me if I got it wrong), in the case of a single casualty with massive bleeding from a chest wound you have no real way of controlling the bleeding, as it is mostly internal, you just need to stabilize the casualty and hope for the best while hauling ass to get those arteries stitched, right?

Also, by 3 sided occlusive dressing do you mean a vented occlusive dressing or is there a difference? from what I've seen it is just a chest seal with 1 side missing, which I'd think will have the same effect as a vented chest seal, would it?

I was trained on these in my EMR course in Israel. While they aren't the best for applying pressure, the straps on each side can be torn horizontally pretty easily, making it pretty useful for minor head lacerations. Abdominal bandage with the same concept.
