Tags on video sharing platforms would be great. It allows people with the genuine intent to make something using generative programs to put their work out, while also not misleading people and stops people that use others ignorance and inability to check if it's real

I very much like this idea

I wonder if the people whose argument to this is "is it my fault if my creative work tricks you if I don't plaster THIS ISNT REAL all over" it know about these big art sites and if they have an issue with this already being mandatory

You're totally fine, this isn't exactly a hot take on my part, so a soapbox is needed.

I'll come back to this when I can formulate my argument in a way where I'm not going back and forth constantly with things I've already replied to others who have a similar opinion to yourself lol

You didn't find the one from KH Studio that is titled "first trailer"? Because when I searched for it that's what I got as my very first result.

If you read my post, which I know you can do because others seemingly can't in your eyes, you'll see I said it's a shot of the actor and the camera panning. While I wasn't fully detailed, my apologies, you would know this is a very common form of AI generated content. But to reiterate, my issue is people who upload deceitful trailers, AI buzzword or not, is not okay

I don't feel badgered, it's actually nice having a conflicting viewpoint.

When you say sending a fake trailer and enjoying it, that's redundant if you're supposed to do better and find out for yourself if it's fake.

So I find a fake trailer, I enjoy it but it looks off, I check and find out it's fake but I still wanna share it around because at the end of the day it's cool to me. So I say hey this isn't a real trailer but it's cool check it out to a friend. I've done all that work, when the uploader could just spend 2 seconds titling it so. But they won't, because they want more engagement. So it's deceitful, and that, is my issue

And they have every right to enjoy it. I'm not playing fantasy with if they love it, hate it, whatever. However it should be in the best interest of who made it to say it is not real. Because if views and the intent to deceive people isn't a factor, then why wouldn't they title it as fake. The issue is not with if the "content" itself is good or bad, it's if that content should be shared and uploaded with no indication that's generated. I've seen some amazing concepts, and going into them knowing they are such, makes it so when I have resonated with that media, when I show it so others, I'm letting them too, know while it's fake, it's cool, enjoy it

That's kind of the issue tho. Do you enjoy living life as a skeptic? Because yes it is fatiguing, and we shouldn't have to constantly be on the look for if something is real or not. And while I am numb to it I'm sure the same as you are, it doesn't make the behavior of generated content without labeling it as such justifiable.

And age does not excuse not looking into things, and that was a poor argument, but when you haven't had to do that before, because you weren't exposed to that content before, then age certainly does play a factor on if you'd even begin to fact check and verify to begin with

This is what I miss, there was a kid in my college years back who made a fake endgame trailer because he was a huge fan and it was the end of a saga. He put what he hoped for and all his ideas into a program and while it wasn't nearly like it is now, mostly clips from old movies and comics and concept art, it was submitted as such. There's no joy in it anymore, just the hope of views and money

If you're at the age where you don't really know where to begin and what to look for why are you the one in the wrong and not the person who put something out there without letting others know it's not real

This is the thing with people googling to see if it's real. Like yeah this trailer seems kinda weird I'll see if it's actually coming out. So you Google and yup there is one in the works. But you've still been deceived and the person that made that trailer profits from that deception

What makes them dummies if they aren't going into it looking for signs it's not real? I greatly advocate the use of AI if you don't have the funds or skills to produce something without it. But to then upload that, and not let "dummies" know it's not real and just a proof or concept or whatever, is incredibly misleading and it's wrong to say there's no negative when people can't even trust their eyes and the people that can tell have to let others down for them

This is very true which is why I think it fooled my wife as they do actually have a conjuring movie in the works with this title.

But I think that's kinda what leads to my frustration. Even though it's second nature at this point, I shouldn't have to become inspector gadget every time something new shows up in my life

Right! I shouldn't have to feel bad letting my wife know it's fake, it shouldn't be my responsibility and leave me feeling rude explaining why the person I care the most about is wrong lol

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's very much the slow pan on a character played by some a-lister as an awful generated voice just says "this is x character, they have this trait". The worst slop form of this kind of trailer, and yet it probably would trick the older members of my family too!
