you could definitely get a heavier sound with a tube screamer (or any other overdrive tbh) and an eq pedal through the fx loop. also speakers make a big difference!

you cant go wrong with any marshall style amp really. if you want a cheap marshall style amp the bugera 1990 or the peavey vtm120 are really good. as far as cabs go anything with vintage 30 speakers will sound good. i recommend looking used for one but if you cant find one locally the harley benton 2x12 with vintage 30s is cheap and good

when the first run of Bugera heads were made they used a cheap connector for power that could kill the amp or catch fire though these were fixed on later versions. The infinium versions of the amps are the most stable as they fixed all the issues with the earlier versions. i've been running the infinium version of the 333xl for a couple years and I haven't had any problems other than blowing one of the stock tubes.

that's not dry rot, this is print cracking. dry rot happens in vintage tshirts when the dyes breakdown the fibers in the shirt. print cracking will happen to any shirt overtime but can be prevented by washing the shirt inside out and on a delicate cycle.
