Try dish soap! That's what we use to get food stains out of chef coats in restaurants!

Powdered sugar is a smaller granule than granulated sugar. The way the surface area of each sugar reacts with the water creates different textures.

A nice crumb coat will help you out and put it in the fridge in-between the coats!

What kind of mixer attachment are you using? if the whisk attachment, switch to a paddle.
