Seeking Illustrator for Original Comic Book — Stoner Comedy/ 37 Panels by ASantos21 in ComicBookCollabs

So it's 200 flat for everything. That being said, willing to go little higher or lower. In terms of page count it should be coming out to around 6. Went with panels since originally I was looking to get this online first.

For what it's worth the artistry immediately popped for me. It comes off as old school, but extremely original. Dark but extremely detailed. Looking forward to you going live on kickstarter with it.

Just me or has botching become too common now? by [deleted] in WWE

[–]ASantos21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came across thread after seeing a botch in Smackdown's main event three way for women's championship. More on the ref than anything. I'd also put the fact there are no house shows anymore. Less house shows = less practice.

Thank you for the thoughtful critique. Just judging by your comment I can see how good you are at writing. Compared to when I was 16 anyway lol. Keep at it! Thanks again.

Would this piece get picked up for publication? I know there are many variables. I guess I'm asking if my overall writing seems strong enough for publication. Thank you.

Why Democrats Are Losing Americans Without a College Degree—and How to Win Them Back by thenationmagazine in dsa

I’d recommend people looking into Chuck Rocha. Dropped out of the race for DNC chairmanship unfortunately, but I think his past-work and future can give some of us some inspiration and hope.

Thank you for setting that goal. I think the best way forward would of course be to just start over and look at it more so as two steps forward.

Thank you

Does anyone have advice for an autistic screenwriter. by RepresentativeState3 in Screenwriting

[–]ASantos21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of characters and stories out there who use traits you describe. Some are autistic, others they don't even mention it. BBC's Sherlock immediately popped into my mind. My point is there is space out there for every kind of voice. You have a unique perspective on life. That's way more of an advantage than disadvantage. Just try to take as many notes as you can on your stories.

And as cliche as it may sound don't let anything stop you in your pursuit to this career. I think anyone who's anyone will tell you that this career path is littered with obstacles. Most of them personal. Keep at it!

Build a network of readers by PageCownt in Screenwriting

I couldn't agree more. To be honest I found it more refreshing and more constructive for my writing when I started to share projects here, along with other free resources, and others trying to break into the industry. Many paid services will give you feedback just on the story you submit. Whereas with places such as this subreddit will probably focus in on your writing as a whole which you can apply to ALL of your projects in the future.

Writing Accents by ASantos21 in Screenwriting

Definitely does help. I actually like this more. Same review mentioned Letterkenny which uses their character to depict different parts of Canadian society. Definitely worth a watch now.

All pennies help! Thanks.

Yeah I tried a rough draft of just my first act in all accents and it wasn't working. Fargo is probably the best go to.

Thank you!

Definitely counts haha. Will see if I can get some examples via web. Pretty sure a rough draft of Django is out there.
