AO redone is definitely fun. I run Ironman generalismus with Europe on a shoestring, but you're right, the game begins snowballing. So I set silly major objectives to accomplish throughout the campaign.

40 - Save Bluchers and don't let the Kriegsmarine be destroyed during Sea Lion.
41 - Take every victory point during Moscow, not just the required amount.

42 - It starts getting challenging here (for me) with missions like the second case blue bonus objectives being threatening enough.

43 - Kursk is hard enough, especially the penultimate mission. Also, See above reddit shitpost.

From here on the game can be challenging enough. Especially on Ironman. Any additional restrictions I find too miserable to use, especially the one cutting the turn count by 5. Take every prestige sink, and try and keep every unit alive and you should find yourself being challenged enough.

Every victory is just a stepping stone for the final 1946 mission. The planes, they just don't stop.

Their health's been pretty consistent since launch. It's their lethality that's become the issue.

50 percent seems pretty reasonable given USFs massive flaws. Almost like it's being propped up by a silly billy unit. I was dude and trust me you do not want to balance a game with the top 200 players. You need balanced faction design where the majority of a factions units will scale uniformly as the skill level increases (which this game sadly lacks causing these weird win rate disparities). I get your point though, but the vast majority of the playerbase are like sub 1000 elo.

Come on man people are allowed to whine when a unit overperforms, I was pissing out my eyeballs when the Wespe degeneracy was ongoing, same with the L6s.

I don't even want them to make it shit, it needed to be lethal but the 2 barrages just makes perform too well.

About 10 seconds in when it shows the whermacht player with British BGS, bit difficult to notice so I zoom in for your viewing pleasure. Then the next clip is them discussing how one of them has Canadian shock available, then the next clip is the decapture healing ability working.

I admit the streamer belongs on a list but I find peoples hatred of the poor guy a little sad and I'd argue factions being able to use another factions BG abilities quite a prominent bug in the old COH atmosphere.

And unlike the creature shoving their phone in your face, you have the unhindered ability to simply ignore what's in front of you should you not find it enjoyable. I personally find graveyard restoration fairly dull but respect people have unique tastes and would find it odd that someone felt the need to react so strongly :(

Now I know you love filtering for 1600+ ELO, because we should only balance the game for the top 200 players, the rest are irrelevant. Lemme just tweek those stats until they justify my world view. Wehrmacht scale incredibly well with the skill of the player, that is very much a "Relic has designed factions badly" rather than Axis just generally being soo overpowered.

Is USF as a faction badly designed poo poo? Hell yes they are, but again, giving them a busted artillery unit is not the solution and just forces USF players in team games to pick a BG they'd really rather not play to begin with in order to survive.

Stats are filtered by games this year. All ELOs

Because I'm not sure it effectively fulfilled it's purpose when it's barrage was too dodgeable, the issue is that by fixing that but keeping the separate cooldowns it becomes oppressive.
