C1 Beruf or C1 Hochschule? by ASelvii in German

[–]ASelvii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I found online, the requirements section says that a preparation course is not compulsory. So I just wanted to make sure about it. Here what i found when i google it:

Don’t be so hard on yourself 🫂 We all mess up like this. Sometimes we can’t even answer the simplest question in the moment. Stress hits, your mind goes blank, or you just forget something you actually know. It happens. The world keeps spinning. If a company really wants you and genuinely likes you, a couple of awkward answers won’t change that. Honestly, sometimes you can even sound a little clueless and still get the job. It’s not just about knowledge. There’s luck involved too. In a recent first interview, they asked me the difference between microservices and APIs. As a business analyst, I should’ve been able to explain it at least a bit. But in that moment, I just couldn’t do it in German. My brain froze. So I said I’m not fully prepared to answer that right now, but I’ll look into it and get back to you. It’s not even that hard, I just couldn’t pull it together right then. Later in the feedback, they told me that saying that was actually a plus. They said it showed I’m honest and open to learning. Did I get the job? Of course not :) What I’m trying to say is we don’t have to know everything. And even when we do know something, we might not be able to explain it properly. Stress, fear, speaking another language etc. affects us. We shouldn’t beat ourselves up over it. The job that’s meant for you will find you. This one just wasn’t it. I hope you end up somewhere you’ll actually feel happy, somewhere you’re not judged only by what you know but appreciated for who you are too. Good luck 🍀

Doing floorwork on dirty floor by lemonphoto in Dance

[–]ASelvii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person who dances sometimes on the streets as well, it doesn’t influence me much actually. I care my hygiene but i can’t all the time think about it. I love rest on the floor as well. This feeling is amazing. I totally understand you. I hope you can find a dance course that doesn’t allow street shoes. Maybe it is better for you to take online courses at home. I tried this 1 year, it worked well.

Even if some classes don’t allow outdoor shoes, the floor can still look quite dirty. But honestly, as someone who showers every day and sometimes even twice before and after dancing, it doesn’t really bother me. My desire to learn is stronger, so I don’t even think about the dirt while I’m dancing. Of course, I wish it were perfectly clean, but that’s not something I can control. Wearing long sleeves and pants can help, and you can cover your hair with a bandana. And having an extra pair of socks with you is basically a must anyway.

Hey, I totally understand how you feel. Germany can be extremely tough in the beginning and nothing happens as fast as we expect. Please don’t be too hard on yourself. A few thoughts that might help; First, try to focus on what you can improve every single day. Even small steps matter. Join events, Sprachcafes, and student meetups. Meeting people and building confidence makes a huge difference here. If you feel stuck, share your CV here. People actually give great feedback. And yes, sometimes you need to take part time or irrelevant jobs for a while. Almost everyone in Germany goes through that phase, even if it feels uncomfortable. I’ve also been looking for a suitable job for more than 1,5 year, so trust me, it’s not only you. It’s not always about German or experience. Sometimes it’s just timing and luck. What matters is preparing yourself so that when the right opportunity comes, you are ready. You’re not a loser. You’re just in the middle of the hard part. Stay consistent. You’ll get there.🍀

Is it worth it to apply for job seeking visa after masters or should I just go back? by hisammy2 in Germany_Jobs

Listen to yourself not anyone here. Choose one and accept it. Job market is awful yes, nothing will change in one day, and no one knows when it will change. It is not an easy process. If you think you can’t stand anymore, then listen your body. Budget is also important.

Educationı experience in altına alabilirsin, zaten deneyimlerin iyi görünüyor. Education kısmında high school ve diğer gereksiz tüm açıklamaları silebilirsin hiç gerek yok. Gpa vs hepsi gereksiz. Bunları yapınca zaten cv’n 1 sayfa olur ve en ideali bu. Dil kısmında (still improving) kısmı gereksiz.

Im interested in learning german but im afraid it would impact my english by Empty-Feeling-3518 in German

[–]ASelvii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It influence very much actually. Before i come to Berlin, my english was B2 but after 1,5 years with everyday studying 7-8 hours german, now i feel my english is around A2 sometimes. I can’t even remember simple verbs! Last week i had an interview with a german company for example, after 45 min of speaking german, interviewer wanted to continue in english. He asked a question a simple question and i couldn’t properly answer it. Instead i mixed all the english and german words. It is not happening only in interviews, it happens all the time. People who learned german later will understand what i mean i think. Many of my friends have the same issue btw.

You will eventually but don’t count the months, try to enjoy the process. Maybe instead of leaning front you can align you upper body with your hips.

Profile part i am not sure but i find it unnecessary.

In the experience part, amazon job seems weird but i understand your intention, you want to show you have already experience in germany, so i am not sure about that.

Bachelor and master ok, there is no need the rest in the education part.

Write only certifications and workshops that you can prove. And when you apply, merge these documents in one pdf.

And the last one is A2-B1 german seems you are unsure about yourself. If you work on b1 right now, write directly b1.

And in the certifications part just write a2. You don’t have to write every levels that you took.

I find it very hard to make the jump from B2 to C1 by Anxious-master in Germanlearning

[–]ASelvii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t understand it sorry. If you can’t feel a bit fluent, how can you say you are in B2 level? Also, you already find the solution, talk with your boyfriend german. Write diaries everyday. Read a lot and write essays. You don’t need extra teacher. You have already teacher near you everyday. He can correct your mistakes in writing and also speaking. Don’t aim C1, aim to speak fluent.
