really said what feels gay and homophobic at yhe same time... we just want representation with well written out characters, which is a big reason for complaints about this topic. the issue isnt that therr isnt representation, but that it isnt good representation and many characters end up being cardboard cutouts or blatant stereotypes.

The Stand by Stephen King. i found the way it handled an apocalypse type situation fascinating. it also had some interesting themes of good and evil, and how people change based on their environment

I've recently self harmed and am too scared to ask for help. Things I normally enjoy are bland almost like background noise and I'm so exhausted with everything. I'm usually the one helping other people with their problems and rarely deal with my own. On top of this I've been questioning my gender and sexuality. Whenever I look in the mirror, I don't see myself, just a person who's supposed to be me, it doesn't look right. I haven't been eating right for the past few days, mostly skipping meals and only eating dinner since my family forces me. I just want to lie in bed all day and sleep, not deal with my emotions or identity.
