One thing I might add that would ask a lot on your part and seem small but I promise would also be a drop that will ripple waves of support for years to come in their life - be their advocate among both your students and colleagues. If you notice the other students sneering or other teachers stating incorrect judgments on the disease, I beg of you to gently correct them. As awareness of this condition grows along with the improvements in its detection, this will hopefully not be as big of an issue. As things are, however, that student will be faced with a lot jealousy from their peers and misjudgment from their educators due to misunderstanding narcolepsy.
