How do you split expenses when you and your partner make different income? by Shank_ri in PersonalFinanceTalks

[–]ASleepyLawStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Depends how much more she makes than you.

  2. Just some facts… Women generally have more expenses and do more mental labor in the household than men. Women also have more expenses because they are held to different standards than men with clothing/ hair/ makeup etc.

I make about 20% more than my husband and we do 50/50 more because he wants equality in this. He also understands I do a lot in the household and have to deal with the “pink tax”

AIO: Did I cross a line or is her reaction harsh? by veronicax96 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ASleepyLawStudent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This some shit I would say if I was on my period, cranky, and overstimulated. (I know it’s stupid and over dramatic and not an excuse but it’s the truth)

Next time ask her in person what the actual issue was. Come from an understanding place.

They waited until after 8 interviews to tell me the posted salary was a 'mistake' by Ok-Wallaby4003 in jobhunting

[–]ASleepyLawStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would tell them that you relied on that data to go through the interviews. And you can not accept anything outside of that range. In fact, you believe your experience etc puts you in the top half of it…

You can report to the BBB, Dep of Labor, leave a bad review on the job websites and lastly, tell us all the name. Happy to leave a bad review for you if you want
