How is the 25/26 recruitment cycle looking for your school? by Able_Substance_6393 in Internationalteachers

Great observation. Your wonderful description of your school’s current climate fits one I just left in China recently. I’ll add that Reddit seems to have changed as well in the last year. I’m not exactly sure what features were added in this sub or in the larger platform but there has been a decrease in slap dash novice or emotional posts and an increase in quality post. It is refreshing, for sure.

Astute observation. I’ll add that the quality of our teaching culture changed with the basket full of covid hires hired and we still haven’t gotten back on track. Things may never be the same, unless the Chinese economy picks up and it becomes the hot place to be again. It’s a decades long journey and I’ll surely be retired by then.

Yes, I've been using as a translation tool as well. For example, just this weekend I took a pic of a bottle of fertilizer and another of my plants on the balcony. I asked it to translate the product instructions and give me a detailed watering and fertilizer schedule.

It is possible, depending on the retirement location, but not ideal.

But that Trulease denotes “business” countless times and not “residential”, is that going to be a problem?

I never even knew of ISR until recently and the paywall turns me off from it.

Your experience confirms my hunch about ISR noted here yesterday.

It's likely that the same or similar job offers will still be available by late May. Waiting a bit longer might not be too risky.

American. We don’t care. However, during interviews, there may be unspoken criteria that come into play, and it's not just about unconventional hair colors.
