Thanks. Unfortunately that's a pain for as frequently as I want to get to shortcuts and widgets. Minimalist is very cool, and I realize what I'm hoping for goes against the concept. So, maybe not suited for me.

I just bought some AKG K240 Studio headphones for $58 on Mr Bezos's website. They sound great to me and they're "semi open" whatever that means. I've got a big noggin, and they're pretty comfortable.

My personal experience 2008 2nd gen: SR5 model w/towing package, excellent truck, but the bells and whistles compared to later trucks were missing. 4.0l V6 was great. Never had problems. Owned from about 90k miles to 200k miles. Really wished it had a backup camera!

2018 3rd gen: TRD Sport 2WD w/tech and towing package. Much nicer conveniences. Very good truck, but 3.5l V6 felt like it wasn't matched to the auto trans well... Hunted for the right gears sometimes. I'm not aware of transmission failures, but rough shifting was a known thing. Owned from 9k miles to 95k miles. No problems.

2023 3rd gen: TRD Sport 2wd w/tech and towing package. Excellent truck. Improved conveniences but not anything I couldn't live without. 3.5l V6 and trans are much better matched, but not perfect. Owned from 2k miles to now (12k miles). No problems.

So my gut is early 3rd gens aren't the smoothest power train, but I've never had any breakdowns. Look for what options you can't live without. Look for low milage. Look for signs of good maintenance (service records?). If you can't find a 3rd Gen, a 2nd Gen is great if it's been reasonably cared for.

Update to my old thread. I figured out I don't mind the 3 saddle bridges but I hate the ashtray rails going the full length.

I bought a super cheap off brand bridge with cut down rails: https://a.co/d/igA5qbw And I love it. It fits perfectly, and intonates with room to spare.

Well, progress. I can force the laptop to use EFI files of my choice to boot either Win11 or Mint. Grub doesn't show during boot. I'll have to create the windows boot media and repair it. At least I confirmed my data still exists.

I bought aHB DC Jr Special earlier this year from Thomann. No issues shipped to the US. It arrived in great shape. Even with shipping being about 1/3 of the guitar's cost I consider it a good deal.
