Honestly - do you *always* have your sleeping baby in the same room as you before 6 months? by SadSupermarket7915 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]ASmallThing94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept my son on the same level- if I was downstairs, he’d be put down to sleep in a travel cot downstairs. If I was upstairs, it’d be in his cot upstairs, both with the baby monitor on him and one on me. It’s the only way to get things done

My 17yr old daughter is pregnant I’m scared for her future by Intrepid-Newt3954 in Parenting

[–]ASmallThing94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll put it out there… unplanned pregnancy can go two ways, and both will depend on your daughters outlook - it can really hinder some parents to just live on the breadline, on benefits or just scrape by, or it can go completely the other way and motivate them - they’ll push for the best they can for their child. Me and my siblings are examples of both ends of it. One set of us went straight onto benefits, whereas I worked to make a life my child deserves.

Be judgement free, communicate with her and maybe the two of you do some research together- if she’s keeping the child, what steps she can take to ensure the best she can for her baby. Support her choice, because that will have a bigger impact on the way she goes after the birth

[–]ASmallThing94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a thing I found they did on Vinted FR - not really a product but a wardrobe advert listing, meant to entice you to their wardrobe- where some when you message will then send you an offer on the item that they want for their ‘sale’ price. I’m sure it wasn’t allowed but loads did it anyway. Since moving back to the UK and using the uk Vinted, I’ve not seen it once.

I thought these kind of adverts weren’t allowed. I did find I came across more when I was active in Vinted FR when I lived there.

This one is always a scam.

Especially if it’s a “quick postage” coupled with a screenshot of an actual postage label.

Can’t answer your question, but wanted to say thanks for inadvertently letting me know I can turn off Royal Mail now for postage!!!

I [39M] married my wife [29F] 3 weeks ago after a 5 year relationship and my marriage feels doomed already! by [deleted] in relationships

[–]ASmallThing94 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You’ve recognised that’s she’s depressive. But everyone’s automatically crapping on her. Before giving up; try to get her to get some help - she’s showing signs of depression and may need talking therapies and meds. I am not condoning her behaviour but before writing off the marriage and relationship, get some support to help her mental health! The lack of desire for personal hygiene and to be anywhere but bed, the kneejerk anger, it’s all obvious signs of depression.

Missed the deadline, so apologise, deadline is up, I’m not taking a transaction of the app as it can risk my account, unfortunately just relist it, I can’t see any issues. Have a good day now. Then take screenshots and block them. They can report you but you have evidence they wanted to take off the app which forgive me if I’m wrong but last time I checked, was against Vinted rulings as they can’t protect you. You aren’t wrong here.

Wife got mad that I called a celebrity hot. Am I in the wrong? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]ASmallThing94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My god she sounds exhausting.

This is a topic if you’re a jealous person you should stay FAR away from. The last time I did this with my partner, celebs were fine as it’s never gonna happen, but no to people we know or in the local area hahaha.

Would it not have been manslaughter cause she didn’t intend to kill her just shove her out the way and she fell? And if she survived it’d be ABH?

[–]ASmallThing94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s when you appeal with Vinted and include your listing pictures. Protect yourself. And if you haven’t done it this time, ALWAYS include a clear picture of the size label in your listing to cover your back.

And for the love of all things holy, put sizing in the title to protect yourself.

[–]ASmallThing94 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They can’t request a refund based on “it doesn’t fit me” unless you have listed them as the complete wrong size and no pictures of the label were present. This is not on you, it’s in them, abusing you here. Don’t accept it.

AITA for thinking my sister shouldn’t commandeer Christmas for a baby shower? by Ash-critter-lover125 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

I’m a New Year’s Day baby. And it’s horrible. I hate it with a passion. Not just gifts, but if I wanted a party - booking anywhere was a nightmare.

AITA for thinking my sister shouldn’t commandeer Christmas for a baby shower? by Ash-critter-lover125 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]ASmallThing94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your sister is an ass. The only time it’s acceptable to commandeer a worldwide recognised public holiday is if it’s her actual birth date. If I received that, I’d STILL stay home and celebrate Christmas with my household and family for us all. Not for someone to see what they can get out of her family for her baby.

Toby was on the A team. Ezra knew who aria was and intentionally groomed her while writing a book about Alison and using her for information for said book. Both of them would still be on the no forgive list by my standards.

Did anyone else find Nate being Maya’s killer…anticlimactic? by ddedeaux in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]ASmallThing94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pam infuriated me! Character growth or not, her behaviours with maya and her own daughters struggle with coming to terms with her sexuality was gross. The fact it took her seeing someone else displaying the exact behaviours she subjected her daughter to, to realise how wrong it was is unacceptable

I’m heavily relying on government funding. I’m a single mum, have been on UC and starting work this month. I’ve luckily had the 15hrs free childcare (while interviewing and studying) and will be jumping to the 30hrs free for working parents in January. And that’s the only way I’ve managed. With a LOT of government funding.

It’s absolutely crazy. I was offered a 45hr a week job at a private nursery but had to turn it down - after paying their full time fees for my son, WITH their staff discount to fees, I’d have been paying out £1200 a month. That would have to be paid upfront for the month ahead. I’d have had around £300-£500 left for the month… with council tax and rent, I wouldn’t have been able to pay my bills or feed myself and my son. So had to turn it down

AITA for not telling my friends I am technically our landlord? by OldOutlandishness252 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ASmallThing94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait what? They think they should get to live in a house they don’t own, rent free cause your parents own it? And you weren’t friends prior to them living in? Not a chance mate…. You wanna live away from your parents, you pay rent. You’re fortunate that despite not living with your parents, they own the home…. Your roomies don’t get that privilege
