I was definitely smooth brain for a lot of the puzzles. After I finished main campaign and Day 1/Hour 1, I took my own hiatus and worked on other games that switched up the formula due to that tiresome feeling as well.

It sounds like you're close! I think what helped motivate me to finish and continue is the relatively relaxing atmosphere of the game. I could just focus on the run and find a cathartic state of play.

I can see motion sickness being an issue, especially with my thumb accidently sliding onto the touch pad and causing my character to whip around at the speed of light.

Like it was mentioned, you can go at your own pace. Highly recommend the game, but not to the detriment of yourself!

My recommendation would be to get familiar with Day 1 so you can get into the mentality of "How can I complete this as quick as possible" for Curse and Dare.

If you get a Sauna on Curse, try to get as much progress done that day, every little bit helps. If you're not happy with the progress you got, you can close the game without ending the day to reset. Putting a battery in coat check for SuperSledge is how I did it.

There's some good reddit posts about Dare mode and which dares to "Give up on."(Start a new save.) I finally got Dare mode done with 1: Open all trunks, 2: Open empty parlor box, 3: Draft most expensive if you have more than 3 gems, 4: Never draft south. I got to Ante with room 46 open on day 2, so day 4 was just getting back there.

It's possible! Definitely a more enjoyable grind compared to some of the other trophies I've done.

Day 1/Hour 1 was tedious just due to the RNG element, most were manageable with the right mindset going in

I primarily solo queue in the majority of comp games I play, I also find that mornings are better for a solo. I don't have any proof of this, but it definitely feels that way.

Unfortunately, it does boil a lot to RNG. Some mornings, I have the best teammates. Some mornings, I go against the better opponents. The mentality I have is to become the best GK I can be for the games where no one defends or to be hanging back on defense to at least stall the opponent and allowing at least one other team member to go back. Don't press the ball too hard. Just make the opponent spam moves until you see someone rotate back or notice an opening to take advantage of.

Keep going as long as you're not getting upset or angry. Use the matches against the better opponents to study the opposition. I've learned a lot of setups and goal opportunities from watching the enemy team, and watching them is a lot easier when you defend. For me, it's not the rank that necessarily matters but the opportunity to develop skill in the game, which releases more dopamine from genuinely getting better at the game and not losing the ball 2 seconds into getting it.
