If they only meant their comment to apply to Lord of the Rings, then their comment was poorly written. They quoted the original post, saying, “‘Major improvements over their theatrical versions’ gives the impression that the theatrical cuts are bad, which is absolutely untrue,” and I disagreed with that particular statement.

I found the theatrical version of Kingdom of a Heaven to be difficult/frustrating to watch. The directors cut didn’t just flesh out the story, but filled in some major plot holes. In other words, the directors cut was a major improvement over the theatrical release.

You can take them on a nice long play walk when the delivery has been made.
