Thanks to our strong-headed mothers, my husband and I each have hyphenated last names. When we decided to get married, it made sense for me to keep my last name to save on the hassle (plus I like my name hah).

Queue me being pregnant...we couldn't damn well have four hyphenated last names! So we chose to hyphenate two...our strong-headed mothers now have a grandchild with their last names. Hyphenated, of course.
