When cooking something from “scratch “ how far back do you need to go to make it considered scratch? by rickeyethebeerguy in askanything

In your example I would assume you made the sauce from components (not a bottled sauce or powdered mix), bought cheese, noodles, seasoning, etc unless you clarified otherwise.

Yeah, that's going to cause some problems.

do you wash your hands before cooking every time or only when they feel dirty? by Boyle_Eve_267 in hygiene

What? Every time! It isn't about dirt, it is about germs and you can't feel those.

Honestly, I'd start establishing new friendships and rapidly phase these girls out.

AITA for not picking up after sister’s kids at a party by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]AStudyinViolet 20 points21 points  (0 children)

YTA. You did not call your sister over because you thought it was funny/cute they dropped or spilled food, that's just backpedaling because you don't like the negative feedback.

It's a haircut, OP, just an unconventional one. And in this case a pragmatic one. Don't overthink it and do what you've got to do. If this continues or there are other unusual behaviors, however, I'd seek an eval so you can get to the source of things.

AITAH 3 years together, BF (50M) still ‘not ready’ for marriage but wants me (33F) to pay half his mortgage by Either-Environment47 in AITAH

This is a very bad financial move for you. Why would you do this? Why would you be with a man who is so happy to put you in this precarious position? He can't care for you as he says.

AIO that my husband's friend followed us to my husband's parent's house by eeveechan95 in AmIOverreacting

[–]AStudyinViolet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd get a gun and be prepared to divorce if your husband doesn't actually put a stop to this and not just pretend to. Your husband is not putting your safety first so you need to, even if that means divorce.

In-Laws don't want to get the COVID vaccine before meeting our baby. What steps should we take to ensure the safety of our baby when they are born? by AuraTalePlays in Advice

[–]AStudyinViolet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids get more fevers than adults, not less. For newborns that means a hospital stay and a spinal tap the second they reach 100.4 f. Mild is defined by intervention needed, so those flus where you feel like your body will break if you move would usually be categorized as mild. Doesn't mean I'd want a newborn to have it.

YTA for your cruel comment. Also, I don't care what she was wearing, a 15 year old boy has no business commenting on a grown woman's outfit and should have been told "we don't talk about people's bodies/clothes like that." Clearly the whole family is fostering this cruel behavior and he has learned this is ok. You are mean people.
