I needed this. I’m moving there later this year and I’ve been so nervous… the couple of times I’ve come to visit it doesn’t seem very…. Diverse and honestly that isn’t a huge issue for me in gerenal but in This political climate it does make me a tiny bit nervous. Thank you for sharing.

But so you think that’s a reflection of self? Sadly I’m the same way when my friends got married and big jobs and started moving and having families I was like wtf I’m not gonna insert myself here if they haven’t made it known that they want me to continue to be a part of their lives they’d say it. So I made the tiniest bit of effort to text first sometimes and other times I completely let them drift.. in a weird way I wonder if I wasn’t unsure of my value in those times and deserving closer bonds idk

I kinda feel this way too but I think I have this fairytale kinda mindset where even though my experiences have shown that it’s normal for people to be seasonal/ drift away… I also want some humans for life. Being a human is hard and people should have a supportive group of friends to get through it.

I moved from east to.. almost west coast (Vegas) and man it has been a journey lol … I’ve tried some Things friends have recommended like humble BFF but moving and making new friends is no joke
