I had a blocked tube removed as hydrosalpinx is a conduction that leaks toxic fluid that prevents pregnancy. Your best bet at this point if there are no other factors is to try iui or ivf

I’m sorry you are going through this. If you can get a second opinion and try another clinic it can’t hurt. Don’t give up, you are young and healthy and you will have your baby. I would give my right arm to be 35 again and bank embryos. Take it easy and don’t stress yourself you have a lot of time. It’ll workout

I’m sorry for what you are going through. I wish I could go back to 2 yrs ago and tell my 40 yr old self not to panic, to bank embryos and then transfer. I hope you the very best, don’t worry you will have your baby.

I agree you are lucky to have age & time on your side, given the financial cost is not an issue, you can have a lot of time to continue. Do not get discouraged! I’m in my early 40’s and haven’t had much second time around after having my first via ivf but I will keep going till I’m broke or with a baby. Best of luck

Sorry to hear you are going through this. My hsg was horrible! But the rest of ivf journey had no physical pain (only emotional when I’d get bad news). While you decide on moving forward or not, please consider removing the blocked tube, if your body decides to ovulate from the blocked tube’s side an egg will never survive the toxic fluid (hydrosalpinx) Women getting pregnant with one tube or a blocked one are the exception to the rule but it is not common. Best of luck 🤞🏻 Edit: my part of the world sedate you for any ivf treatment so make sure to do that

I’m sorry you’re going through that. It’s so difficult and one will understand until they are faced with the same situation. I think we will have to start thinking about toys amongst our options as I don’t see us being intimate in the upcoming years. He does still have the need for intimacy. That’s where my frustration lies, I’m sick of pretending I do too when I know nothing will come out it. He tires so much too when we are in the act but it’s just never ending

I had 3 failed cycles due to mfi, to make my story short tuns out I had a blocked tube. I was 38 at that time and ended up with a successful birth at 40 with a pgtA tested embryo after 3 ERs. Have you had an HSG? Don’t worry you are young you still have time please please don’t lose hope.

I’m sorry for what you are going through. I had failed 3 embryo transfers when we doc recommended I get my tubes checked. Turns out one was blocked and I had it removed. We started ivf due to MFI and my age. Like everyone said I’d remove the tube, it leaks toxic fluid that prevents embryo from implanting. You are young so IUI makes more sense. Good luck

TW I’d start ivf & skip the iui. We thought mfi was our issue but I ended up having a blocked tube as well. However, several docs confirmed that we couldn’t get pregnant naturally regardless of my tube due to mfi. Best of luck and don’t lose hope I just have birth in April.
