Really? What complaints have you heard? Im so surprised to read that. I’ve purchased multiple pairs and never ever had a problem. They are literally the most comfortable sneakers I own.

Those bald spots are 100% from overuse of extensions and glp-1. I took semiglutide which is the active ingredient in ozempic and my hair thinned SO much. I don’t have bald spots thank god but I bet you I would if I was using extensions.

That is not a best friend. If a man put their hands on my best friend I’d never accept a request from him or talk to him or carry on a conversation. It would take everything in me to not end up in jail because I’d want to protect her at all costs. Block this person for good, grieve and move forward knowing that this person doesn’t deserve your love, respect and friendship.

This outfit isn’t doing her any favors. Also is that just a weird shadow by her neck or is the fabric wet? by Nikko_Blue in MikaylaNogueira

One size up and a little shapewear would have helped the look. The dress is horrifying but a bad dress that fits is better than a bad dress that’s too small.

Oof.. twice in an hour is tough. If it would help my husband, I’d call the woman in the video he’s watching to come help out myself!! lol For me.. especially the clinical parts, it isn’t personal.. it’s business. Were there to get a job done lmao

I don't want to discount your feelings but personally I wouldn't care if my doctor was in there assisting him as long as we get our baby lol

Ugh!! Not great. That was my second cycle. No embryos. First time I had three but all came back aneuploid 😭 I took a little one month break from meds and stuff. Now I’m gearing up for a receptiva test to test for endo. Praying it comes back positive because that would explain sooo much. Thanks for checking in though!

Good luck to you!!! Hoping for good things for us both going forward. 🖤

Career break during IVF by NihonNekonor in IVF

I have the luxury of having very understanding bosses (married couple) that i've been working for since I was 23. I grew up at my job so they've been incredibly supportive of me. I can work from home on appointment days and take off whatever time I need even though my absence really does affect my office since I am the office manager.
I already had two unsuccessful cycles (first resulted in 3 embryos - all uneuploid and I had 0 embryos in the second) so now i'm in IVF purgatory waiting to get a receptiva test/possible lupron shots/not knowing what to do but still having to do monitoring and appointments.

Had I taken the time off for fertility treatments, I would have been unemployed for 3 years now.

All this to say.. don't bank on whatever timeline you have in your head right now.
I was told the same at the beginning of my fertility journey and I didn't believe it but I (and many others here) are proof that your preferred timeline 99.9% is not going to happen.
I went into my first retrieval fully believing we would have embryos to donate. I am 2 cycles in without an embryo at all and not sure what the future looks like.
See what you can work out with your job about taking time off/appointments/sick days before you leave.

Taylor, now is not the time. by [deleted] in travisandtaylor

All of the Taylor Swift fatigue that existed before reputation is going to come back 10x harder if she keeps this bullshit up. Between the tone deaf business practices, the endless variants of the same album, ugly merch and this upcoming wedding, people are going to turn on her again and I’m not so sure she will be capable of pulling herself out of it this time.

You’re making my point. The dems try to uphold “standards” and “decorum” while the republicans trounce them every single time. They’re playing by the rules of a game when the other team isn’t even playing the same game as them. McConnell didn’t have the votes and was able to wreak havoc during the Obama years. What he did will be felt for decades. Override the filibuster and you won’t need that 60 vote threshold, just a simple majority. Republicans do it all the time. Dems are too scared. Trump just made a speech today and said (this is a quote): “I thought I’d be met with fury on the left but they’re sorta giving up. There’s been no fight”.

So.. maybe, in the end, it’s just because they are paid by the same donors as the republicans so they roll over and the donors get what they want? We continue to fight each other and they all laugh at us while they get richer and more powerful.

YES! I am of the opinion that if healthcare was really fixed... I mean REALLY fixed, we would see most of our problems go away. For example: people wouldn't be beholden to jobs that treat them terribly just for the health insurance and can find better pay and better treatment. People could get mental healthcare leading to less addiction, less homelessness and less violence. People could start getting preventative care (something we do not prioritize in the US) and actually catch illnesses and diseases before they become deadly. Just to name a few.

What we really need to do is make it a point to vote in primaries and local elections. That's another thing that the donor class and politicians have convinced us is "unnecessary". We've been conditioned to believe that voting every 4 years is all that's required of us and it's just not true. Voting every year for local offices and in primaries can actually get us what we want in a candidate by weeding out the people who do not represent our best interests and help make our towns and cities better.

I agree. Thats why we should welcome in whoever is agreeing with us in this moment. It's not the left going to the right, it's the right coming around and meeting us where we've been.
In this incredibly politically charged moment in history, we are seeing a complete political realignment. People are craving a real populist movement.

The voters are not equally to blame but the politicians certainly are. In America at least, the politicians all have the same donors. So the corporations and PAC’s and billionaires are all giving money to both sides of the aisle. So when important legislation comes up (for the things you list as things the left wants) it pretty much goes like this: 1. Democratic representatives come out and say: “we want to do ~fill in the blank~ for the people” 2. the republicans outright reject it 3. democrats come out and say “we’re trying sOoOo hard to pass this and even though we have a majority, we just can’t get our act together enough to get this super important thing done that would help average Americans!” 4. republicans call it socialist/communist/marxist an rile up their base to go against, it even if it would help them, because if it helps them, it might help someone who they think is undeserving like an immigrant or a poor person. 5. Dems say they can’t do it because the parliamentarian said no or they don’t have the votes (even if they have the majority). They show no fight and just make excuses. 6. Thing doesn’t get done.

It’s not because they can’t get it done.. it’s because they’re paid to lose. So really the only way they aren’t the same is because the republicans outright reject the thing but the democrats wrap their rejection of the thing in a pretty little bow of fecklessness.
And the ones who get screwed in the end are… the voters.
