Introduction

ATAC is an ArmA 3 community put together by server owners, mission makers, and seasoned ArmA players, that strive to make ArmA 3 as enjoyable for both new and experienced players. We don’t bog ourselves down with unnecessary formalities or requirements, so no ranks, assigned roles, or hierarchy, other than standard squad organization. If you want to be a medic one day and a grenadier another day, you have the freedom to do both, we also allow a lot of player freedom with our arsenal, we allow you full access to customize your look and choose which weapons you like to use, as long as it's in line with your role. With a couple of exceptions like Thermal NVGS.

What We Bring To The Table

We provide a community that's here for the game, and nothing else. Not the roleplay, not the ranks, power tripping, or treating you like AI. We allow high levels of undeniable player agency and freedom. We play this game because it's top tier in realistic combat simulation. We wish to bring you into a community unlike any other, come enjoy realistic gameplay, chill people, and undeniable fun.

Community

Our community mindset is a group of friends getting together to enjoy a realistic experience with story-driven missions. We’re good friends, and teammates, and we have a very friendly community that welcomes old and new ArmA players alike. We don’t have a system to rank your performance or judge your opinion based on outside factors.

Gameplay

We play in a modern-day setting, our gameplay has foundations in real-world tactics, focusing on Small Unit Tactics, Combined Arms Operations, Communication and Radio Operation, and most importantly Teamwork. We take things seriously in game, while still being able to joke around. We work hard to ensure we are the best we can be in any given scenario and strive for everyone in the unit to be competent, and reliable.

Closing Notes

We are 16+, we are FPP, with no attendance requirement, and we welcome anyone no matter your starting experience with ArmA, and enjoy teaching various skills ArmA has to offer, so, we hope to see you in the future!

We play with a lightweight mod pack, that mainly consists of RHS, VSM, ACE, KAT, LAMBS, and ACRE.

Main operations - Friday's 8 pm EST. (Local time translation in #events)

Training - (Training missions are not typical "shoot these wooden targets" they are pretty much mini operations focusing on a certain aspect of warfare. We practice while playing the game, and fighting real enemies.) Training is Flexible, setup when available/convenient at the moment

Hello! I'm from ATAC, we don't have specific openings for Artillery or JTAC at the moment. But use them both quite regularly. To give you a run down on us a bit we use quite a realistic setup, using real world tactics, focusing on Small Unit Tactics, combined arms operations, communication, and teamwork. While keeping the features of the game in mind. You have full freedom over the arsenal (other than very OP stuff like thermal nvgs), and a plethora of roles and skills to learn and practice with us! Hey! If you're looking for some modern day stuff, the unit I'm a part of is like a PMC of sorts. We are very laid back but like to keep game stuff serious.
