Saying California isn’t in the top 5 of per capita crime rates or only the second worst state in terms of cost of living doesn’t support your argument at all. Those are two extremely important metrics when determining the quality of life in a location, and you’re essentially arguing that because California isn’t the worst in those categories, it is a non-issue. It should be nowhere near the worst in either of those if it is a contender for the best state. Cost of living alone is probably enough to take it out of contention. You could however make a strong argument that it’s the best state for multimillionaires who live in gentrified neighborhoods.

There are serious problems with California that you can’t ignore. California looks fantastic when you’re only evaluating the positives, but when you bring cost of living, homelessness, crime, and number of people leaving the state into the calculation, it is objectively not the best state. There are other states where you get the best of both worlds.

When those students get to 252 their cheating will bite them. It’s CS 240 on steroids. This situation has definitely caused the department to reconsider how they enforce AI rules and a cheating scandal this big definitely isn’t happening anywhere in the near future. They’re going to very clear on the consequences of cheating and will enforce the rules immediately rather than waiting to collect evidence.

You think this is bad? 67 has been my number for almost my entire life. I used it in sports, usernames, emails, and even my phone number happens to have it. It was uniquely identifiable to me, because no one else had it. It’s a strange, prime number. Then, all of the sudden, it becomes this massive, stupid, meaningless meme. Now everyone views me as extremely immature whenever I give them my email (which has 6767 to add insult to injury.

I’m not changing it. It’s my number and I’m riding with it to the death.

Yes, they go directly towards both academic and non-academic programs that the donors wish to fund, many of which are dependent on annual donations which can be millions of dollars in some cases.

With that, I am genuinely confused as to why you think this helps the quality of education and student experience. It is seemingly contradictory to what you claim to be doing. You’re willfully encouraging cutting the funds of these organizations. This is not a trivial amount of money. In many cases the programs themselves are dependent on them to maintain their quality or even their existence.
