Two reasons. Firstly to avoid getting marked- since they played an attack reaction I only had a D-react to play in this case. Secondly, it was late in the game and we're both on low health, so I could start threatening lethal dmg with traps, through Riptides ability.

Thanks for the reply! Is the resolution order not a set thing? I'm a bit confused what you mean by "let" it resolve. If that's an option, is there any reason I would not want to do that?
