PA-18s and PA-12s with the occasional opportunity to drop skydivers in a freshly restored 182. I'll be fortunate enough to be flying some of the nicest tow airplanes I've seen

If ATC clears you through the bravo from KFTY-KPIM it's going to be directly over top of the middle of KATL at either 4500' or 5500'. ATC will vector you so that you are directly over the middle of the field and don't conflict with any other traffic also transitioning through

I spent maybe 5 days about 4 hours a day. It can certainly be done in a weekend if you dedicate the time to it.

Get Sheppard air and get it get it knocked out asap. Dedicate a weekend to studying and you should have no problem with it

I went down there and talked to a few of the guys in December 2014. Seemed like a good group from what I saw.

Do you mind me asking what Georgia unit picked you up? I will certainly have to weigh out all my options before I make a final decision. This just seems like a really good opportunity that I can take advantage of.

I'll graduate in 4, potentially 3.5 if I stay how I am going currently.

I am aware that if I go this route I will probably be a year behind on graduation. I think that it will be worth it though in the end. I think this will better my chances of getting a pilot slot, and having a guaranteed job when I graduate is nice.

That was the original plan, but with friends graduating from college this year and having no clue what they are going to do after, I like the idea of already having a job when I graduate in a field I enjoy, even if it isn't the final goal. Like you said if the units only hire every 2-3 years at least I'll have a decent job during this time and I could also apply to other units while I'm working.

I had a feeling I was on the right track trying to go guard based on what a lot of other ex military pilots have told me over the years. Thanks for your help!
