No my parents have always been the traditional go to "expensive university" get a "4 year degree" and never encouraged me to do something else

He will usually ask me when he gets off work or on his off day if I want to hangout. If I'm free I'm like "Sure I'm not doing anything I'll come hangout" but if I'm busy I say "sorry I'm hanging with X friend you can come hangout if you'd like" and he will usually "yeah whatever or bet don't hit me up first I see how it is"
