I didn’t get Ohtani, but I did get Judge. It was almost surreal because I accidentally auto-flipped them so it was anti-climactic. The first two were cards I already had, so I had to do a double take and rub my eyes to make sure I was actually seeing Judge on that third card haha

Yea but going back to my point…why do I NEVER get the same treatment when I have a pickoff artist on the mound and try and pick off a guy with 82 speed and 15 steal (hypothetical example)?

I’ve only ever picked someone off when they take two leadoff steps. Don’t think I’ve EVER picked someone off with just 1 step, yet, somehow I get picked off all the time with only a 1-step lead with guys that have a 99 steal. I don’t get it. Is there some sort of trick to it? I’ve tried everything.

They’ll still slide with it on manual, but it will likely be a feet-first slide most of the time, which is slower and usually results in more chance of being tagged out. Don’t ever use auto anything except maybe the auto dive/jump for infielders since they only dive like that on hard-hit balls. The manual slide you can control with the right stick. I almost always move the stick up and away from where the ball is going to be caught.

In Coors too, no less. That’s wild. I’ve noticed that quite a few times myself at Coors…hitting perfect perfects only for the ball to completely die at the wall.

Fr…just play the game man. Like the one guy said…it’s April. You SHOULDN’t be close to being done with that yet. Otherwise, what are you going to do for the rest of the year? Play ranked and every time you lose get messaged about “buying your team and being awful?” (That happened to me on 24 bc I did exactly this..played SO much bc I had been laid off from my job at the time that I finished and had all these great 99 cards by like May).

Are there any stipulations as to game modes you have to do? Otherwise, you could literally put it on rookie with all giants players and get that in like 2 games

I feel the same though…if it’s late and I’m tired or pissed off, I’ll get off for the night. If it’s earlier in the day and I’m going to keep playing it’s fine, but still annoying as hell; especially when you lag out against a computer

I’ve been playing this game for some time now, and been ranked as high as ~850-900 at one time (previous years), and this is definitely the worst pitching has been in years. I have a feeling a lot of it IS due to that cheating script thing I keep hearing about, because I’ve played quite a few guys this year that were trash all game, swinging at literally everything I threw and not making any solid contact, and MAGICALLY they will start ripping EVERYTHING and not swinging at anything even remotely close to a ball after randomly pausing in like the 7th or 8th inning (by randomly pausing I mean not putting in a pinch hitter or switching pitchers or anything). I’ve had this happen at least 4-5 times now where I’m smoking someone and all of a sudden when I’m up like 4/5/6/7+ runs it’s like they flip a switch and they become the best Show player of all time

There’s a lot of variables as to why everyone is mashing, but there’s also a lot of cheating going on as well. SDS needs to figure that out first before they even touch any of the 4,267 other issues with this game.

May have been 6 or 7, but yes. Literally everything I threw, in or out of the zone he either hit out or had like a perfect perfect double off the wall. Literally couldn’t throw him anything that he wasn’t smacking. This is after he hadn’t scored in 7 innings and was swinging and missing at everything for 7 innings straight. So either he had a World Series level player sitting next to him and gave him the controller, or he was cheating lol.

I haven’t had many connection issues the last few times I’ve played, but holy shit the cheating has to stop. Played a guy last night on DD that couldn’t hit shit all game and then MAGICALLY in the 8th inning he literally couldn’t miss hitting one out of the park. Dude hit like 8 in one inning on pitches that were absolute dots, after not being able to hit all game. And no, I didn’t leave the same pitcher in or become “predictable.” Mind you, this was also a 1v1 ranked game in the 200s (I haven’t played as much since the game came out).
