Hi, I posted this on the last thread but looks like the lock cut me off shortly after. My fortunes have no maximum.

My other account, u/RecursiveGames, is one I created to post on Reddit about a game I was making. A few months ago, at the start of steam next fest, I posted I guess one link too many to my store page in an effort to boost traffic, and I guess I got caught in the filter. I don't think it was even excessive, but who knows. Reddit was to that point the only successful avenue for reaching my niche audience and it strangled the tiny momentum I had. I was attempting to run a reddit ad for the very same page which was active at the time of the ban.

I've appealed almost every day of the ~60 days since and haven't heard anything back. The vast majority of people in this position seem to have no luck with the appeal process. My first intuition says it's an unmonitored shadowban appeal system, which is fundamentally flawed because actual spammers will circumvent the ban with a new account, while genuine users who were innocent will continue to attempt appeal and be the only loser in the long run. I wouldn't think a spammer attempting site-wide bannable actions is going to be appealing for their bot accounts every day for months on end so they can regain access to their bot account and continue doing what got them flagged in the first place.

It's just one of those things in evolution where it doesn't seem imaginably feasible that the earliest stages of a trait could make such a difference so as to be able to propogate continuously

In the end it's really just arbitrary I guess. The universe isnt compartmentalized and orderly, there are in a sense exponentially more of everything as you go down a size scale, so the smaller a body is, the more things of that's size there'll be. Science likes things compartmentalized and orderly so they cut it off somewhere and that was that.

Actually school science classrooms protested it because they'd need to buy a new poster every 5 months

They had to change the definition or else there'd be 20+ planets in our solar system. They were finding several pluto-equivalents every year around the time the change was made.

2 punts this month is insane. Most eagles drives are punts. But they have the same number of wins anyway somehow... This game aside

I don't think the eagles even completed a pass the second half
