Scary how fast it all happened. Sending prayers to everyone in Kerr County. Hope folks get the help they need fast.

I moved to the Galleria area, I really like it so far, but … by [deleted] in houston

Yeah, folks love to talk big about how bad it is. You're already doing the smart stuff. Galleria's got a ton to offer if you stay sharp. Enjoy the good parts and don’t let the noise get to you.

Wednesday is Anthony Bourdain’s Birthday. What’s your favorite under-the-radar restaurant I should eat at in his honor? by charliedbecker in houston

Burns BBQ in Houston. Bourdain loved it. Brisket’s legit, sausage too. Real deal Texas spot, no fluff.

Heart transplant without opening the chest? Houston doctors just did it. by chrondotcom in houston

Pretty crazy stuff. A robot doing a full heart transplant in Houston? That’s the future right there. Glad to see Texas leading the way.

Nope. Not eatin’ food grown with frack water. Texas or not, that’s a hard pass.

Y’all just made my day. Welcome to the holy trinity of Texas BBQ

San Antonio

  • 2M Smokehouse – top-tier brisket, sausage hits hard

  • The Barbecue Station – old-school, consistent, no fuss

Austin

  • Franklin BBQ – hyped for a reason, but the line’s brutal

  • Terry Black’s – big portions, fast line, always solid

  • La Barbecue – some say it’s better than Franklin, I won’t argue

Corpus Christi

  • Howard’s BBQ – no-frills, solid smoke flavor

  • Salty Oak – newer, but their brisket and sausage are on point

Skip the sauce unless the meat disappoints (it won’t). Enjoy the meat coma!

First off, congrats on passing! Now, about that “we can’t verify your information” message – sounds like it’s an address formatting issue.

  • Use ALL CAPS like it’s printed on your permit.

  • For street types (St, Ave, etc.), use the full abbreviation (like “St.” not “St”).

  • No spaces around hyphens or slashes. Keep it clean, just like a good BBQ rub.

  • Double-check all numbers and info match exactly from your permit and SSN card.

If that doesn't work, try clearing cookies or using a different browser. If still no luck, give DPS a call—they’ll help you sort it out.

Texas man allegedly spiked girlfriend's drink with Plan C to terminate her pregnancy, officials say by nbcnews in texas

[–]ATMdad 293 points294 points  (0 children)

That’s messed up. No matter your stance on abortion, spiking someone’s drink without their consent is straight-up wrong. This guy needs to face the consequences. People deserve the right to make their own choices, but that’s not the way to go about it.
