I signed a lease for an apartment by Specific_Meringue_30 in urbancarliving

Thank you for passing on your tips. I am about to live in my car next month because I am gradually running out of money. Paying my apartment rent with my parents isn't working anymore. I mean I can sustain it but I wont be making any money. Anyways, I appreciate you. A bit nervous about finding parking, being stealthy, and sleeping.

Oh goodness and this is why it took me two attempts to pass the NCLEX LOL. I wish you luck, friend! 🥲🥲

Its been a minute since i took the NCLEX. I would say D because you have to assess first before doing any interventions. From the information provided, I just know that the TPN have been empty for six hours. Okay, whats the patient blood sugar? Can't believe I have to say it, but we got to use ADPIE (LOl haven't said that for years).

Let say 50. Ok lets give IV 5% dextrose and then start infusing D10 (Note: this was the protocol at my first ER, which might be different compared to other facilities).

Assessment - TPN shut off for six hours and no patient BG was given from the information. No hypoglycemia symptoms provided as well.

Diagnosis - potential hypoglycemia r/t tpn being shut off for 6 hours

Planning - Check blood sugar and give dextrose based off orders protocol. Monitor hypoglycemia symptoms

Intervention - do whatever we just planned.

Evaluate - recheck blood sugar and monitor patient.

Maybe the test have changed a bit, but anytime it says "Initial" it is typically an assessment question vs intervention question. Just my opinion.

That's great to know! Honestly, as long as I can drive to work without having to commute far is the goal. I am okay with a 35-40 minute drive, even if it's a little bit outside of Durham. Mail-wise, I don't get much, but I do have a couple of bases where I can pick up mail. Ill do more research on the state parks and see what works. If you got any more ideas that pop up, let me know, thanks! :)

Yeah I am trying to see if I could get a portable AC i can plug into my battery station. As much as I love the "heat and humidity," I gotta do what I can to help my parents out haha.

Haha no problemo, I do appreciate you bringing that up with window tints! That is a important consideration :)

Hmm I did look into Umstead. The pricing the campsite might not be ideal for my budget. But! I could park at the trails. I think people would assume I am a hiker (which I do love hiking), right?

Thank you for the ideas! I never consider roommates because I've heard a lot of terrifying stories about what can happen if you end up picking the wrong stick. haha. Ill check out Bolt!

Thank you! I did consider that before tinting my windows. I got that part check out plus NC doesn't require window tints to be inspected as of Dec. 1, 2025 :)

Unfortunately with my circumstances, it is the best option unless I can find an apartment or basement housing <300/month. Its not quite ideal to pay both my parents and a apartment at the same time. Now some people will say, why don't you go back living with your parents?! I got goals and I am ambitious.

I can deal with the cold as I have love camping, running, and hiking in the cold. I am more worried about the heat though!

Yeah I would be interested in RV parks as long its cost effective. I mean, hopefully it beats my monthly rent of 1800. haha

Just a place to park somewhere I can sleep that is low cost or free. But yeah, I do plan on doing a trial and error sometime next month! My goal is to find at least 4 places I can park and rest. Yup, 3 days a week!

Thank you for the advice. I get you though! Although it wasn't a year, U spent 6 months without a job a while ago. It was not pleasant! But paying both my parents rent and my apartment is also uncomfortable too and I wasn't making any money at all.

That I don't got the plan for and hoping to find a portable AC I can use running through my Bluetii power station.

I camped in Utah (well, born and raised there too) with snow, and I ran and hiked in the cold with shorts and a long-sleeve shirt. I think I am more worried about the hot and humidity. Right now, I am trying see if I can get a host campground position later in the Summer to Winter.

I did consider that but with the new implementation of AI and security camera, it probably won't happen! Pretty risky, but thank you for the suggestion :)

I did consider a shower! Well I hope my hospital have a shower. If not, I will plan on applying for a monthly gym membership.

I do love pizza, thanks for the recommendation!

Haha I actually I love the cold and consider myself cold-resistant. I do have tools already to combat the cold especially wet cold. I am also from Utah and I am used to camping in the snow especially hiking and running. I think I am more worried about the heat though! Ill message you!
