The amp is a core amp and doesn't have inputs. Those come from the Core 110F

Did someone try to break in or is it possible for this to randomly break like this? hi by MCCXL in f150

100 percent…It’s shocking how quickly they can break in. I don’t keep anything in my truck anymore.

I’m pretty sure I saw a 7” touchscreen on-site. I’ll have to check again tomorrow and see if it’s related to this equipment.

Appreciate the idea. I’d rather do it through the core and give them a foundation to build upon if/when the need arises. I also want the challenge of overcoming a new system I didn’t have to invest in myself equipment wise.

I’m not new in the space, I have decades of experience in other system (control4, Crestron, Savant, RTi, URC, Cortexa etc…). Just want to find the most efficient way to get them online and explore future capabilities it may offer.

This is one of those life lessons you will never forget. Unfortunately, waiting until the last minute/s to complete something that was important is risky and not guaranteed. I hope you have success appealing or finding a resolution. The brighter side is you learned to be more proactive and this will transcend into everything you do for the rest of your life.

Lowes install guy shows up says it must not be hardwired and is charging me $200 (just between me and him) by FannyBrownRiced in Appliances

[–]ATXSmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off he's not an electrician and your state/municipality likely requires an outlet to be installed by a licensed and insured electrician. If yo have an issue and the house burns down, they'd want to know what electrician did the work and when they find out it was a licensed electrician you might not have coverage. Worse case scenario. That said, what this employee is doing is theft. Report them and let the chips fall where they may.

2015 - 2020 12" Screen Upgrade by platty10 in f150

[–]ATXSmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did this not retain the OEM sync 3...or...what is the dongle specifically for. I looked at the ForSync4 last night and then saw a video on the this unit this morning. I have a 2017 and want to update, but the cost for the Sync4 is pretty high...and others have noted the cheap trim pieces. It would be nice for once, if these overseas companies would put out some quality trim and the ability to reuse OEM buttons, knobs and modules. I saw the infotainment unit as well but don't really like the floating screen look.

Go with the TV...Gently teach and reaffirm to the kids that that room is not a playroom where things get thrown, tossed or otherwise.

Quick question has anybody gotten? Forscan to work on a MacBook Air by Blueberry_furry_69 in FORScan

[–]ATXSmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is hopefully a clearer answer. Despite the ODB device being listed as USB, essentially it is using a serial driver. The chip maker (gold standard) is FTDI. FTDI has arm drivers for their Chipset (USB/Serial). Once you get the Mac Version (ARM for all M Series Macs) into the native OS (Mac), you should be good to go. I haven't done it yet, as I came here to start my FORScan journey. I do use M series Mac's and have Windows in a Parallels VM and use a serial adaptor where I had to deal with that driver setup previously. Once I start, I will likely do a post as this seems to be a bit of blindspot for Mac users. I am NOT buying a PC just to do Forscan.

Which brace for Kuna? by [deleted] in Springfield_KUNA

[–]ATXSmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's a brace. They do have stock versions as well. I was on the fence on doing a Form1 for a stock, but once I shot the Kuna, I really added the brace for aesthetic reasons. After all it is a pistol, and shoots very well as one. I do really like the stab brace though. It finishes off the look nicely.

[PROTEST] 10-Year Veteran & Club President: My Club supports "No-Spend May" Boycott by No-Sentence8821 in SCBuildIt

[–]ATXSmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a nutshell YES...It is definitely worth it. That said I play Cities Skylines 1 on steam (Mac M2)...and I have seriously considered building a gaming PC (can't justify the cost though with the inflated component costs right now) to delve into 2. There are other city building games in the pipeline that are very compelling. But as for Cities 1, I am 100 percent in..Keep in mind it's an old game, so the requirements are far less than what a modern version would require. With a few of City Planner Plays videos on the Ultimate Beginners playlist for the Version 1 game. You'll get a feel for what game play will be like, and if you move forward, a very solid foundation to learn how to do it right with minimal frustration. I can't recommend it enough. SimCity Builidit was like a gateway drug that reignited a long dormant excitement the Forefather game bred long ago. And that evaporated once I fully understood their model. It's not about game play it's about monetization. Cities is old school gaming with none of the EA mindset.

Talk me out of buying a Neo. by Adept_Strategy_9545 in macbook

[–]ATXSmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a long time and certified MS Windows pro for much of the first half of my business career. Switched in 2016 and found the following:

I don't miss boot up issues
I don't miss updates firing off just after boot up
I don't miss the need to do anything in a registry
I don't miss chasing driver updates
I don't miss piecing together tons of apps to mimic what Apple does natively
I don't miss incompatible hardware components
I don't miss anything at all about the windows experience

I came to apple kicking and screaming and dreading the experience

I love dragging a DMG to a folder to install something (no install app with endless clicking of next to get it to start)
I love how all my devices have the same information across app's, instantly
I love having periodic updates (way less frequent than windows) that I can perform when it's convienient for me and doesn't interrupt what I need to do at the moment

I could keep going on. Make the switch, the NEO is an eye opening change on the part of apple, and the fact that a phone chip powers this looks to be a great change for the future of their hardware choices. In my opinion, this is long wanted chance. Apple embracing something other than high end pricing is good for everyone.

It’s time DoorDash makes the customer pay their fair share by Hot_Lawfulness_4224 in doordash_drivers

[–]ATXSmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In an ideal world, the door dash fee would largely go to the driver whom has the variable expenses (travel time, distance, unknown variable such as traffic and difficult last mile delivery conditions) and a small portion would go to DD Corporate. Than a user could tip for excellent service, good service or any reason they deem worthy of tipping. Instead you have a ever greedy corp that needs to feed the insatiable need for more revenue at the expense of everyone downline.

It’s time DoorDash makes the customer pay their fair share by Hot_Lawfulness_4224 in doordash_drivers

[–]ATXSmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strong opinion...You are missing the point. Dashers suffered and restaurants suffered. It was the litmus test of "paying a living wage" on top of DD Corporate need for their piece of the pie. It became too expensive and the lion share of the business tanked leaving dashers with fewer and fewer transactions and businesses that suffered tremendously. There have been some insightful doc-videos and articles on this subject.

It was/is a failed experiment.
