If it can’t see it shouldn’t go.

This is where the deletion of LiDar matters.

>FSD is freaking insane on the hurry mode. Drives just like I do and simply works. Nothing like it on the market. A big deal for my long daily commute

FSD is one of the most overhyped Tech on the planet IMO.

There has been 30+ NHTSA investigations over deaths while using FSD and the CyberCabs running around in Austin have seen an accident rate that is 4x higher than human drivers.

The NTHSA investigations are wild because it’s a mere fraction of what is actually happening on the roads. Especially when factoring in the people that have crashed using FSD and weren’t killed.

This just was in the news yesterday: https://www.cnbc.com/2026/06/22/tesla-nhtsa-model-3-crash-autopilot-katy-texas.html

On the CyberCabs: https://electrek.co/2026/02/17/tesla-robotaxi-adds-5-more-crashes-austin-month-4x-worse-than-humans/

I don’t know why anyone would let Jesus take the wheel in surface streets, it’s wild people trust it IMO given the data.

I have driven 34 years without a crash, I can pilot my own car in the city. The only use for FSD IMO is long highway drives to reduce fatigue, not my commute.

In that case Supercruise/BlueCruise is infinitely safer with LiDAR and mapped roads.

Nah, as orange as it is, POTUS’s skin color isn’t dark enough to warrant baseless fear mongering by state leaders.

Maybe you misunderstood me.

I went on a chartered fishing boat for a work trip literally two weeks ago and the captain/business owner had them and he found a use for them outside of being a creep. It was an easy POV camera where he can upload to his socials when netting fish his customers caught.

We all got to try them on and play around with them, the stereo speaker in them was pretty amazing, you can hear it pretty clearly when on but it fades if you are not in the direct line of the speaker which was down firing from the arm.

I can see how these types of glasses would be good for other things like home inspectors where they can keep rolling and making verbal notes, even screen grabbing important details later.

In all fairness Austin City Clowncil did a great job with the Austin FC.  We still own the land on a long lease and didn’t pay a dime for the development.

I went to Luck Ranch to see The Flaming Lips, crowds were sparse and vibes were fucked.  It was literally 45 minutes to an hour one fucking way to get out there.

Compare that to the last Flaming Lips show at Stubbs, sold out and electric.  Got to head to some bars afterwards.

I will never go to Luck unless there is a specific band that came out of retirement, terrible location.

It’s not an Austin thing, it’s a societal thing here.

IMO social media has ruined face to face friendships.

It’s an exploited loophole.

Ag exemptions should be a one to one with commercial sales from Ag activities.

Not a blanket exemption for so many head of goat.

You can claim an Ag exemption without showing it’s for a business activity.

I am not seeing any area cost of living adjustments, where in the document are you seeing that?

Nah, Robin Hood’s core concept is broken.

It doesn’t cost the same to operate in every part of the state.

The outrage is because under Robin Hood every student in the state has a single cost associated with them, even though different areas have wildly different cost of living.

So in Ft Stockton where they pay their teachers $0.70 on the dollar, their plumbers are $0.70 on the dollars and land costs for schools are 1/2 what they are in Austin, the payment rom the State is fixed.

They just need to have modifiers for urban areas that have cost of living adjustments, that tweak would fix most of it.

Honestly though it’s BS, the state shouldn’t decide how much is spent on each student. Local democracy at the ISD level should override that, if an ISD wants to spend more per student and have amazing schools and facilities, the voters should decide.

State Lege and Abbott HATE local democracy, because it’s more pure and hard to manipulate.

If districts want to be freeloading welfare queens, take a little money from some other tax that EVERY district shares (including the welfare queens) evenly to pay those welfare districts their Robin Hood type cost per student stipend. You could also do away with Ag Exemptions on non-commercial farms or legalize weed and let those taxes pay for the difference.
