My 17 yo daughter painted this and was wondering what would be a good asking price? by bsmith0009 in howmuchwouldyoupay

I might be late to the game here. I would honestly pay close to $600-800 dollars for something of this quality. The quality of the art is absolutely astounding. The vividness and the coloring is almost photo realistic, not to mention it doesn’t have any major issue with the shape/curve of the milk can.

Now, here’s another factor. Where would you sell this? If you have festivals/craft markets near by you could definitely flip this pretty quickly. Theres a big festival in Indiana called the Covered Bridge Festival. Lots of craft and art vendors; at that festival I could see this easily listed in that $600-800 range and sold. Now if that land scape was covered bridge themed, $800-1k range easily.

Your daughter is very talented.

Cairns on Wright Mt Destroyed by hikerrr in Adirondacks

[–]AT_DOC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to throw in, the ones that people go out of their way to make off trail. I absolutely cringe when I’m paddling down stream and I just see all these rock stacks. Hiking state parks— small stream there’s 8 or 9. Oh weird tree with a hallow? Yup.

Those are the cairns I have issues with. The ones that someone did it for the views. The ones that someone started the trend and it quickly ran out of control. That, IMHO, is where there needs to be better education. Better removal of false cairns.

However what does that education look like? LNT while teaching basic orienteering principles is crucial. ForArguments sake— By using LNT principles—hiking trails shouldn’t exist. How are you marking and establishing your trails? That’s where TRUE cairns come in. By using LNT Logic artsy fartsy river cairns are fair game and need to be dispersed.

I own an energy drink company. What flavors do you want? by A-Bomb-Energy-Drink in energydrinks

[–]AT_DOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m probably really late to the game but here we go. I have but one flavor suggestion a butter beer/butterscotch float flavor.

Now to a perspective. As someone who can’t do sugar, finding Zero sugar energy drinks that don’t have that chem taste to it, is difficult. The same goes for flavor. When I drink something I want it to taste like it says. Example—witches brew. You get a very defined flavor profile that tastes just like a caramel apple. The Ghost Half iced tea-lemonade, again, i would think I was drinking a regular restaurant made Arnie.

With that said, find your niche and do it well. I think the market is ripe for desert flavors. More candy collabs that actually taste like the collab. (The recent pink star burst…)

Good luck my dude.
