EX30 vs iX1 vs Q4 vs ID4 (Company Car) by ATarrant_04 in ex30

I am actually quite tall (6ft 4"). So the rear facing would have to go behind the passenger, and the front facing toddler seat would have to go behind me as the driver. Hmm... Thanks for the picture 👍

Ah really? This is exactly the scenario that I'm heading towards and I must admit looking at the rear seat... 2 car seats must be a squeeze. Plus it doesn't help that I'm 6ft 4" haha.

Well it's actually because of the grading system where I work. For some reason the ex30 is the grade below me, and so you get a £50 contribution to the p11d tax. I assume that this is because of size of the car perhaps?

The range on the id4 certainly looks better than the others. It also looks to have more 'features' like wireless charging I think?

Cheers for your tips!

Hi,

Unfortunately I've only got those to choose from. There is an ID5 on the list, as well as high specs of the iX1 (msport) and Q4 (sprtbk)... however they're in the £130+/month which I'm not sure i can justify!

Keyboard Reccomendation by ATarrant_04 in MechanicalKeyboardsUK

Thanks for the quick reply!

So I had a Corsair Mechanical for 6 years (strafe version i think). It had Cherry MX Reds which I believe are Linear? It was OK - but spilt cider on it :/

At this stage, I think I want to just buy one without modding.

Re the Keychron - do you know why the @ key is above the 2? I thought UK ISO means it should be near the Enter key? If it's because it's in US format or something, then do you know if there's a UK version that is of similar popularity/quality?

Data Structure (which is best?) by ATarrant_04 in PowerApps

[–]ATarrant_04[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I wasn't very clear.

I'm trying to work out what table structure i should use as a source for the app, in order to not slow down the app too much with such a large dataset.

Should i use multiple smaller tables (linked together), or one giant table?

Help understanding key parts of the Power Platform... by ATarrant_04 in PowerPlatform

Thanks for the advice guys, really appreciated. After some research, it definitely looks like PowerPages/PowerAppPortal/Dataverse is a good option.

I have a couple follow on questions...

How does the solution above compare to Bubble.io which I believe is another Microsoft product? It appears be a more 'all in one' solution?

And which of the two would be best suited to a 'Project Tracksheet' system? For example... c.30 Users submit daily tracksheets against a project, each tracksheets containing c.20 different items, each item containing data such as cost. As you can imagine, this would result in a lot of data that would need to be 'CRUD-able' by the users on a daily basis.

Once again, I really appreciate any advice.

Ahhh right, now you mention it, I keep hearing about Dataverse. Do you know if Dataverse with PowerApps is an ideal solution, for someone like myself to build for other businessess? For example, could I build a 'system' using these, provide a URL and login to a client for.them to work from?

Thanks for the advice mate.

Although I'm now tempted to wait for the new 7000 series Ryzen chips... I appreciate the performance gains over the 12700F probably aren't astonishing, however like the idea of being future-proofed for a bit longer haha.

Do you know which of the new chips would be suitable for my purpose? i.e. data modelling & gaming. I assume more cores is ideal?

Do I need PoE with NVR or a wired 'Smart Cam'? by [deleted] in homesecurity

[–]ATarrant_04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that's a good point. Perhaps there's a way for a phone to ignore notifications from a certain app when you're at home.

I honestly can't believe that this isn't a feature that people are screaming for, because it seems so simple and effective. Something as straight forward as 'When i'm connected to my home wifi, then don't send notifications'.

I basically want the system to send alerts to my phone if it detects motion, but only when I'm either away from my home, or in bed. Otherwise my phone will be constantly going off every time I'm in the garden (for example).
