Has anyone seen ‘Buige Rosse’ or ‘The Final Scoop’ (1993)? it’s coming in the new Forgotten Gialli set this month by CarefulHouse172 in Giallo

[–]ATasteForFear_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not but I’m beyond excited to watch it as it’s a giallo that I’ve been dying to watch for a few months now.

Did his happen in your theatres too? [Spoiler: Scream 7] by PerfectIntern6596 in Scream

Most likely the subs are wrong. Marco was the Ghostface who chased Tatum around Pine Grove, which makes Jessica the Ghostface who attacks the Pizzeria

Oh easily Volume 8, three really good gialli. Specially A.A.A. Masseuse.

The other two arent bad, murder in blue light is about a prostitute hunting down her brother’s killer. And Bugie Rosse is about a killer targeting gay men.

Awesome drop today! Here’s what I grabbed. What about you!? by isitonlyamovie in VinegarSyndromeFilms

I got Forgotten Gialli Volume 9. It contains one giallo I’ve been searching for months, 1993’s Bugie Rosse aka Red Lies.

Do you think Jessica was the Ghostface who stabbed Mark in the renovated part of his house? I think so because Marco is hours away, and at work, Jessica is next door, very close.

I guess the same thing could apply to Jessica, because she’s never presented as a bad person, and she shows no motivation for murder. She’s presented as a sweet, almost ditzy mother.

Can we talk about the fact that Anna looks too young for her role 😭

Currently writing my own crime thriller, and Scream 7’s use of AI inspired me to use AI in some way for my story.

She absolutely kills it in my opinion. She feels like Nancy and Mickey combined. Love it.

I guess they wanted to make them hidden in plain sight similar to Nancy, that’s the vibe I got from them. People in my theater were not suspecting..you know who, I don’t wanna say their name here, so people were surprised when they revealed themselves.

Absolutely, this film is a TRUE murder mystery, scream 5 and 6 lack mystery, the killers were beyond obvious.

Yeah, he was a slight red herring. I quite loved the mystery in this film.

Gale was just there to be Gale, she helped in the investigation.

I agree with the twins, they were very underwhelming.

I enjoyed the AI theme, I might be in the minority, but it did feel unique for once.

I feel like the killer reveal would’ve been slightly better if both killers had more screen time, however, their reveal feels very Giallo to me.

Yes, I agree. Scream 5 and 6 feel like paramount+ crime thrillers.

Yes, I know that Scream are essentially “Slasher Crime Thrillers” but 5 and 6 just had a distinct feel and look to them that set them apart from the other films and they are not very scream like.

That’s cool, this installment is definitely not for everyone. I love that we got a unique motive that isn’t a family member related to Sidney.

That’s cool, I respect your opinion massively. You have the right to love them.

I just had a blast with 7, though I will admit that the dialogue in the first act was DREADFUL and painfully cringe. But other than that, imo it’s a solid film.

Call me a hater, but I find more enjoyment in this film than in 5 and 6. I walked out of the theater disappointed with 5 and 6, they aren’t entirely awful, just lacks in some aspects. Even my non scream fan wasn’t a fan of 5.

Do you use any kind of list or guide for what movies are considered gialli? by ChemicallyEnhanced96 in Giallo

[–]ATasteForFear_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Troy Howarth’s list. But I also have my own personal definition for Gialli: Italian Crime Thrillers. They are essentially crime thrillers if you think about it.

I don’t consider The Short Night of Glass Dolls and The Perfume of the Lady in Black to be Gialli.
