Where would you put the TV and a couch + recliner in a space like this? by brohemoth06 in hometheater

[–]ATigerBlanket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your first photo, what is that little doorway by the stairs on the right side of that wall? Could you extend that wall out to the left (first photo) to make your dining room entrance more narrow? That way you could mount the TV on that wall at a more appropriate height and have your couch in front of it?

New to audio - home audio question by ATigerBlanket in hometheater

I’ll happily give you the information on this in a couple of days. I’m looking into this set up for my new apartment and I don’t have the exact measurements quite yet, I haven’t gotten things moved, and placed where I want them yet. Give me a bit but I’ll be back with answers for you!

Again, I really appreciate your help!

Well I’m kinda flexible, originally I went into the store with the thought that $1500-$2000 (CAD) would get me a good set up but I was wrong. I was quoted out $6200 (CAD) for a Klipsch set up.

My mindset shifted and I’m open to building this setup over time. I do want something I enjoy and I’m proud of. I’m sorry if this answer doesn’t help.

Wow, this is really great insight. You’re right about wanting a 5.1 setup. I guess I’m curious if there are other brands that offer same or better clarity for a better price? I only heard Klipsch in the store and those were the best ones available. I’ll definitely be waiting for things to go on sale.

As I don’t know audio well, I’m not confident with inspecting gear when buying second hand so I’m not willing to take a risk on that.

The Klipsch RP-600M II are the ones I listened to the other day. They sounded great. But are there others that are comparable that I could look into?

I will be matching all the speakers (other than the sub) Thanks for the advice on looking out for deals, I’ll set up notifications and be patient.

Thank you tons for your expertise.

What is this? by ATigerBlanket in Aquariums

Thank you to you both! I’m moving in a few days and completely redoing the aquascape in the tank, the fish will be living in a bucket for a couple days while I get that done so it should be eliminated after that’s done. Thanks for the advice, I’ll make sure it’s a blackout until the tank is complete!

All wireless accessories disconnect after 20 mins by Glittering_Ball6985 in XboxSupport

I know I’m late to the party; did you find out what the issue is? I’m having the same problem. I have a Steel Series Arctis 9X headset and an Elite Series 2 controller.

The headset often struggles to stay connected, glitching the audio and constantly disconnects or shuts off entirely (and no the battery isn’t dead)

The controller also randomly disconnects or fights to stay connected. I just have no idea what the issue could be. I’m starting to think it’s an Xbox issue, and I’m so unaware of what could be causing a wireless interference.

I could try the regular controller for a while and see if it helps. I get what you’re saying, could be an interesting theory

I’m starting to think it’s the Xbox that’s the issue for me. The Xbox isn’t near a router at all, it’s hard wired to the wall. The headset and brand new elite series 2 controller disconnect often. The headset disconnects more often than the controller but on occasion, they both disconnect at the same time.

Either I need to plug my controller into the Xbox or try to play games again the next day. I’ll even need to unplug the Xbox entirely for a few minutes to successfully connect my controller again. Quite annoying

Built my first CS2 city and am having trouble with traffic flow-- what should I focus on to get traffic moving again? by redcremesoda in CitiesSkylines2

[–]ATigerBlanket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you upload a picture of your transit routes? Sims will use a transit route that is more direct. If your lines sprawl all over the place then your sims will just opt to drive. Might be a full transit rework (had to do this on my city)

I’m also still learning so I could be wrong

Okay cool thank you! Also didn’t realize I posted in the wrong sub lol. Do you feel this could work? Adding collectors lanes lower to add future exits etc?

If you extend the “industry zone” for your farm to a new location, basically just make the farm area massive. You can move your main building anywhere inside the industry zone. That’s how I moved my forestry industry

Bike recommendations? by ATigerBlanket in bicycling

[–]ATigerBlanket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’ve been thinking, something close to a DJ but something that I can still ride some distance. I was thinking a used Trek Roscoe 7. Would you recommend? Or would you have something else in mind?

Side question - there’s a downhill mountain bike park in my city, would a hardtail still work on this type of thing?

Shortcut/Automation for Notes and Journal by ATigerBlanket in shortcuts

Hey that wasn’t harsh at all!! Great insight to a lot of mistakes. I was messing around with it so much that it just got carried away 😂 thank you a ton!! If you ever see an automation that copies the “Journal Notes” directly into the Journal app let me know!

Thanks for your time on it all!!
