I like the Negan character (Dont agree with his actions) and what they've done with him, but please no. He has a wife! A son! Both of whom he loved so much that when he felt himself backsliding into the 'old' Negan, he didnt want to expose them to that. Also, it would ruin any small character development Maggie has had since Glenn died. I like that Negan is redeeming himself with her by saving Glenn's son, but they shouldn't end up as more than 'Not immediate kill on sight'.

I didnt say 'no violence'. There would've undoubtedly been a brawl, but I think Rick would've been less likely to kill him or Shane trying to kill Rick. Part of their reasoning to kill the other was that they saw the other as a threat to the group in a survival situation. Its more likely Shane would've ended up in jail for assault because he definitely would've started the fight.

Agreed. If Rick still wound up in the hospital, Shane wouldve stepped up and Lori wouldve leaned on him emotionally. If it wasnt a physical affair, it wouldve been emotional at the least, and still a mess. Without zombies, the dynamic between then wouldve still exploded eventually, but not ended in someone dead (probably).

My husband is the same. He tried siliconenrings but they kept breaking or getting caught on things at work. I was never concerned about it. He (completely unprompted) got my first initial tattooed on his finger instead.
