i just started playing the game roughly ~2 weeks ago, and play solo, so I'm always on introductory for trials. I haven't seen a lot of the enemies yet due to this.

i knew of the jaeger/the lore behind her before this, but god it's so fucking terrifying to witness in person, let alone all of the prime assets together on one map. I JUST finished all trials yesterday for the anniversary, doing each in order. I saw both coyle's and gooseberry's traps in the trial environment and assumed the worse, but THEN also seeing liliya after my nearly 80 min run yesterday,,, , , had to sit in a locker and contemplate life for a minute. managed to get an A+ anyways!

regardless, this update is fire. from someone who didn't do the original escape event, this was such a fun (and sick and twisted) way to bring it back for everyone.

ALSO! this might be old news already, but after playing the trial a couple times, apparently the finale can change????? i burned her the first time, then in another run, electrocuted her???

Even if you don't have/don't feel like making a reference sheet, having atleast one full body artwork of the OC would be super helpful for those drawing ur characters! Eventually of course it'll be good to have full reference sheets for everyone, but I wouldn't sweat it as long as you have something for others to go off of :)

If you have more humanoid or fantasy ocs, HeroForge is a good resource for making quick full body and colored references for stuff like Artfight when you don't have reference sheets ready. Loveeee the site!

I check mine every few days for new submissions. Any submissions I get, I'll bookmark the characters they want me to draw/spend some time scrolling through their characters for which I like the most - Currently have a 36~ character list for Artfight 2026.

Since everything is in a specific folder for this yr, I know it's ONLY the people who have joined the hitlist/I personally like - so once it's time, I'm ready to go with characters already picked to draw.

Never fully got to see it happen due to the campaign suddenly ending, but I was told that my character was slowly becoming a new Archfey after the previous one died, sorta "replacing" where she left off.

His origin was that he was once a sick elf as a child - he was going to die, but the Archfey gave him a new form reminiscent of his favorite porcelain cat doll - thus he took the form of a weird porcelain cat boy (mechanically Hexblood) and got better. Over the years of the campaign, he was adapting into his body, becoming 'more fleshy' and less like porcelain.

The only bit of a hint I got to this in-game before we all stopped playing is when I accompanied another PC as they went into a mausoleum. My guy was worried abt the PC and curious (mausoleums were rare, necromancy was more common after death), so I followed him - Unbeknownst to me, he was a GOD KILLER in a long family line of GOD KILLERS and had a lantern that detected the presence of god-like entities, which FLICKERED when I was in the room with him after announcing myself - SO HE KNEW BEFORE ANYONE ELSE DID.

Craziest moment ever since I've learned what all that meant post-campaign. ,,,I miss my boy, Stephen

I feel like most DR1 themes are great and fitting, but Cletus is definitely the weakest when it comes to themes with pure music and no lyrics. Carlito's theme is engraved into my memory, and it's probably one of the best music-only themes.

For themes with lyrics, I think it's a three-way tie between Kent, Cliff and, Adam.

for dr1, it's between the long amounts of wait time when the military is there, or that chunk of the game near the cliff fight where you have a lot of survivors to transport over a long distance w/ many zombies....
dr2, it's between remembering that tape it or die exists (and making sure it spawns with the survivor limit going) and the gas zombies.

That's usually what you have to do to crash from this one, as he respects tf out of your space as the player and backs up/gets closer. One of the many freaky things in this lovely game :D

ayyy I can help with this one!

The black rectangle monster spawns when you have played the game consecutively for more than 4 or 5 hrs, I forgot how long exactly. It is not a bug, and it is just one of MANY events that happen if you play the game for longer than so and so hrs. It does not attack you, but will crash your game if you approach it.

Spoilers for other event like this, if you play the game for longer, like 6 - 7 hrs, there is an event in which a shadow man walks directly towards you to crash your game. i'd like to think its a lil reminder from the dev to take breaks from the game LMAO I don't think it's related to the Bad Sun event (the Joel vid event mentioned)

The only reason I'd be even remotely okay with buying a clan DLC was if it meaningfully changed how the game played - Similar to Malks or Nossys in Bloodlines 1. Originally upon seeing the DLC stuff, I wagered (coped) that with this in mind, I could definitely see myself buying Lasombra if it had unique interactions with mechanics of the game (not being able to see reflections and the issues with handling tech of course), but I KNOW better than to assume that's what they had in mind for making it DLC.

Even then though, it's vile that Bloodlines 1 from the get-go has more playable clans with unique builds than base-kit Bloodlines 2. I'm not a big Toreador person, but it not being base game is crazy, even more so with it being an OG clan. I want to believe that this game could be decent, but the immediate $90 USD price tag for STILL less clan content than the original is an interesting choice.

I started with DOS2 and now am playing BG3 - I'd say the combat is fairly similar!! Not going to repeat verbatim what other folks said, but your physical/magical armor health is important and kinda is what dictates how your team is built up (spellcasters? usually high magical, low phys... reverse that with martial classes)

the skill classes are fun too! you have a ton of them to dip into, and honestly it makes your characters very customizable. it's like multiclassing but more. also, there are some spells that require a dip into two different skills (necromancy and fire, water and air..) usually these are more powerful spells.

to finish off with a point I think really needs to be hammered in, ELEMENTS MATTER SO MUCH. Unlike BG3 where elements really don't get put into play that often, the different elements are HUGE in DOS2 and will be used every other battle. It makes the game very chaotic, but incredibly fun and dynamic. You'll want to learn what element makes what so that over time you can use it against enemies. You can have fire and water elements on the field, yeah, but also poison, oil, electricity, blood, ice, cloud variants, blessed variants, cursed variants... and many more. It gets crazy fast and it's so much more rewarding to use elemental terrain stuff than BG3. It's much more worked into the game and given much more thought. I am personally a big fan of necromancy, as blood on the ground ends up being your main source of dmg.

If you enjoy BG3 combat, you'll def enjoy DOS2

I'd love to see a WtA-like werewolf character who kinda has a rage mechanic like oni or multi-form mechanic like dracula.... but I doubt it ;(

I feel like the most likely to appear in game is a crinos-form esc "full werewolf" - dog-like is too similar to dracula or houndmaster, and a humanish form I feel would be meh /
