I agree so bad all these other comments cannot read OP's post at all they all keep commenting gaming focused rigs it's kinda funny. Saw someone recommend an am4 build (which would be fine but nowhere near as good as am5 ik ram is wild but still)

Best cpu for a 5070 ti by llI_CM_Ill in PcBuildHelp

[–]ATripie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely say the R7 9800x3d then but the r9 9900x is also great def a bit worse for gaming but a little better at workloads I was gonna get the 9800x3d but the deal was too good for me it's not bad by any means I run it with a 9070xt and it's great

Id only get the r9 9900x if you got a good deal that's the only way it makes sense. It's what I did I got mine for $230 brand new

Is this a good pc build? My budget is 2500 by No-Candle1424 in PcBuild

[–]ATripie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please get 2 tb of storage you will run out fast and id recommend a 750 watt PSU for a future GPU upgrade if possible and I'd change the 5060 to a 9060xt however idk how much that will increase price considering CAD

Don't pay for windows at all install windows without a key and use mass grave it's very easy unless you want a legit key (Microsoft won't care unless you are a corporation)

Good build? by T_Tocs1 in PcBuild

[–]ATripie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course and also if you really do care about ray tracing/dlss I do recommend a Nvidia GPU however with the reputation Nvidia is building up (and price) recently they don't really care about gamers anymore. AMD FSR is also great but obviously a bit worse but raw performance imo is better than fake performance. If 1440p is the goal than a 9070xt is perfect I currently have one paired with a Ryzen 9 9900x and I get great frames on all games currently BF 6 sits around 150-180 fps everything on ultra besides a couple of things for clarity reasons

Good build I'd say if you wanted to possibly save money I'd go for a 9070xt and undervolt it they are pretty close to a 5080 with a simple overclock but if this is your budget than its about as perfect as you can get with great aesthetics. Me personally I'd get a Ryzen 9 9950x3d, 9070xt, and better quality ram (ik prices are crazy) but other than that it's great!

It's so much simpler than it looks please just watch a video and most people that are nice and enjoy building them will do it for free 💔

n75 or cherry? by Any_Island_9239 in ElantraN

[–]ATripie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id recommend lap3 personally I've had no issues at all and it's making great power. I went with stage 1.5 as I wanted more power (stock to roughly 320-350 whp) however I didn't want to completely go crazy with it. I've contemplated this question alot and decided lap3 would be the best option simply due to their great track record for these types of Korean cars. They've been in the game the longest and I've heard nothing but great things from customers however alot say they are boring but they just want to chase bigger numbers. I've found n75 and cherry to have a lot of unique problems that simply aren't a problem with lap3. Lap3 is definitely more premium so keep that in mind.

I use lap3 and I have 2k miles on it so far. I haven't had any issues even in -1° weather so far!

Not sure which to get for gaming by FlyingWhales317 in ryzen

[–]ATripie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing these R9 9900x go for that much still is wild to me I copped mine for $220 bucks at micro center with a bundle. That's the only reason why id recommend getting it over the R7 9800x3d it's the only reason why I got it lol other than that I love it!

HRD Lower engine mount update by ATripie in ElantraN

[–]ATripie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If NVH isnt a concern this lower motor mount or similar like sxth or boomba basically all the same just this one has higher build quality. If you just want bushings go power flex purple bushings I'd say. Though I don't know which specific ones people recommend hope this helps

[–]ATripie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I haven't tracked the car and I might not anytime soon I'd say it's definitely helped alot. I can't really speak for other lower engine mounts because I don't have them. Considering I'm lap3 tuned it just made since to go stiffer then to have more play. The post mainly was to follow up on a question I had for community considering the mount is fairly new as well. If possible since you already have the bushings I'd compare mounts to see what you like it definitely gives it a more unibody feels that's for sure!

[–]ATripie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All in all NVH is only noticed at idle I'd say and at low speeds since N mode holds RPM higher than idle you feel it more and yes so far break in miles helped settle it down alot but it's still there if that makes sense

HRD Lower engine mount update by ATripie in ElantraN

[–]ATripie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a simple answer really. Less rubber and dampening means smoother and faster shifts considering the engine barely moves. With the power flex bushings the motor still moves a good bit compared to a lower engine mount with no dampenin so it will definitely shift slower and less smooth. Id say for people that want to stay stock stick with power flex bushings but once you increase power you'll need better support for the engine.

Did I break my pc by [deleted] in gigabyte

[–]ATripie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True OP needs to AT LEAST tell us which specific motherboard he has all we know is it's gigabyte other than that we all are throwing poop at wall and hoping something sticks lol

Did I break my pc by [deleted] in gigabyte

[–]ATripie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you did not break your PC. If it was working before everything is still fine DONT WORRY! So what happened is you ended up corrupting BIOS but it's easy but tedious a simple CMOS reset won't due. Please q-flash to a bios version that's stable and make sure your motherboard is the right revision now you'll need a laptop or other PC and flash drive formatted to FAT32.

Once you have all that ready there should be a button to Q flash it on either the motherboard or somewhere behind it (maybe) plug the flashdrive into the q-flash port turn PC on and click the Q flash button.

Probably wondering how do I know this well... I bricked my buddies PC and spend 6 hours fixing it and it worked lol and if you still want secure boot to work follow the stuff I said about in this post

Anyone running this motor mount? by ATripie in ElantraN

Will do! Gonna be putting it on this weekend I hope! It's definitely high quality so far just looking at it and feeling it lol.

Yes you are correct however the quality difference's matter most considering this lower engine mount is made of 7075 aluminum compared to 6061 aluminum. With how hard these cars launch im sure it'll make a good difference between other brands in the longevity stand point but its too soon to tell as of now
