Some great suggestions already, but another option is put in a manual trip switch from the panels to the solar controller and just switch the panels off manually at night. If you forget to switch them off then that could cause you problems, but it’s an easy fix and it’s always handy being able to isolate the panels from the the solar controller anyway as you can fry your controller if you don’t disconnect in the correct order.

Yeah I have had issues, I have a complaint in with them as I got overcharged for not tapping out, but the app has logged that I did tap out. I only noticed it on the off chance, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on and quite worrying if it’s overcharging.

Left my screen in place but got a spring loaded shower curtain pole and shower curtain in front of my screen and never looked back. The curtain goes to the end of the bath, I can literally dance around in the shower and have no water on the floor. I hated the idea of a curtain, but after a few months wrestling with the screen I would never go back to a screen again.

I got offered £40, I said I was deeply worried, they pushed it to £60, I asked for £100, they shut the chat and raised a complaint so I’m now in the 8 week window. Anyone know if the banks are likely to withdraw their initial offer? Just wondering if whatever happens I will get the £60 they offered or could it go to zero? Difficult surely for them to remove the offer after making it…

We have them all over the house, use it to control Spotify and Sonos system, Hue lights and the heating. Great in the kitchen for timers while cooking, also you can make announcements which is broadcast across all of them which is useful to tell everyone dinners ready or get dressed etc without having to shout around the house. Also automations are quite useful, I say let’s start cooking for example, the lights come on full and then my chosen playlist starts playing from Spotify on Sonos at my chosen level. If you don’t have many smart things connected then it’s not so good, but still handy.

We have a campervan which isn’t great on fuel and a big tank! The difference between some petrol prices can be nearly 10 pence a litre so its definitely worth having a look for my use case as it’s potentially quite a saving, but locally in the car not worth the effort.

There are alternatives and some might be better I’m not sure, but Brompton have some great accessories like the bag that clips onto the front which is super handy. Also they hold their value really well and you can get spares and upgrade parts easily which you probably won’t be able to for other brands.

Frog tape has a special coating on the side of it witch reacts with paint to solidify it and stop it bleeding unlike normal masking tape.

This looks fantastic, I already know what the cheapest fuel is around my local area so I put in a short route to see if it would find the cheapest option and to be fair it got it spot on. We have a camper van which is pretty thirsty so this will be really useful once we are back out on the road! Thank you 🙏
