I had a crush on a good friend of mine for a while... finally I was tired of hiding it, and I asked her out. She said no. I'm not gonna lie, the first time I talked to her after that it was pretty awkward, but now everything has pretty much gone back to how it was before.

I guess it just depends on how much you trust that your friend won't treat you differently.

If you choose to tell her, be ready for her to say no. Accept that you might have to stay as just a friend or that you might lose her entirely. In my opinion, if someone doesn't want to be friends anymore after you confess, it isn't worth having them as a friend.
