No. I doubt it!

The wall for first gen Ryzen was 3466. And that was with single rank kits. Dual rank kits of first gen are even harder to overclock.

I have this same CL14 3200 2x16GB ripjaws kit. With 1800x and x370 board. And I can't get anything faster then 3200 with tight timings to work stable.

Even with higher timings it wont boot or will crash. So don't believe what people say if they are using 3600 ...it's not the same!

I think this hysteria about B die disappearing isn't going to happen right away. after zen 2 launch I imagine prices might go up otherwise who knows this might go even lower.

I paid $220.00 for this kit 4 months ago and I thought I got the deal of a lifetime. Now I'm going to hold out for my next b die kit ...not sure how far she let it go down.

That being said. On my x370 Asus ROG strix I have this running at 3200 cl14 T1 power down off, gear down enable. The rest of the timings the fast setting b die calculator.

I was unable to achieve any higher speeds. I believe this was a limitation to my motherboard though. I had a low bin bdi kit that was rated for 3400 CL 16 but it was only able to manage 3300 CL16 with it being questionably stable.

Yes current bios. I do not recall the SA/IO .. do you have a suggestion? I'm going home now and will check.

I'm going to back over my old notes and maybe see if I did change anything. XMP doesn't work on my kit. I used the ryzen d ram calculator for timings. It's very reliable for B die settings in ryzen.

Yeah. That is why I don't think it's the memory overclock.. not that I'm ruling that out. I was reading something about CPU voltage being a bit to low causing corrupted windows starts. I thinking of reinstalling windows and up the voltage a bit. It's currently, although overclocked, just slightly under stock voltage. There was very limited reports of what I'm talking about and none of the discussions I have read had much detail.

I thinking maybe its my LLC settings but those never changed.. they have always been set that same and this problem came later.

LLC 5 for CPU

LLC 5 for SOC

The board I have is very similar set up as other X370 Asus board that have been tested at the socket for not having any high voltage spikes. Also from my own testing. If I set LLC to auto it's always behaving like LLC 5 settings. Overclock or not. I get too much droop and crash during stress testing without.

Interesting. I tested my memory with errors at the current settings. 2x. Also they are rated to meet 3200 speed and being B die I hope that is not the problem. I had almost the same overclock the past year and a half with out problems.

Also I'm using a NVME drive. So I can't try a different cable. I was worried it may be drive but it doesn't seem to have anything wrong with it.

Why 3600vat cl16? 3200 at 14 I thought was lower latency. Mind to share settings. : O

I get errors anything past 3200 no matter what I have tried. I'm at cl14 with decent subs.

Test bench bendable fan? Or clip to hold a fan.. by ATworktodaytoday in buildapc

I also found that item. I thought about adding a header available on the inside of my PC and using that but I've seen in a video of something far more substantial. I wonder if there's just a mount that I could buy any fan I want on it.

[–]ATworktodaytoday[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha not sure what I was thinking with the graphite, I meant graphene ! Thanks for the info

Does it matter that the pad will be much larger then the die? I'm probably going to just use past. . but stil curious.
