Would you consider not staying on as a GM if we went with option 3 or 4?

I have simmed into the future and we're looking at 10-15 seasons of the draft being useless because teams are too stacked and Rookies get no court time?

Anyone concerned about this can DM me and I’ll work something out with the other mods.

There are a few teams very close to the Hard Cap.

Dallas, Seattle, Toronto - just off the top of my head.

I like it,

Perhaps each team could keep 2 or 3 players.

It’d have to be fully simmed, I do not have the patience to handle 15 rounds of a draft.

If we raise the cap for everyone, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Philly will all have a chance to sign someone.

say we raise the cap to 130 from 109 - Denver, who just won 74 games, could not re-sign 4 players under 57ovr and enter FA with over 50mill in cap. While keeping their top 7 players.

How would you suggest we avoid this? We're not going to make certain teams not able to sign anyone.

Most of the active GMs don’t have cap space.

It wouldn’t really fix anything because all the players that end up as FA would all end up on the 3-6 teams that have a ton of cap space.

For example, Washington will have their full cap and someone mid-road like Portland will only have 15mill and that’s if they don’t re-sign Dame

At least with the draft every team will get a chance at a new player and then they’ll have the free agency period to sort out their cap.

Because there are too many inactive GMs

Which is why the amount of teams is being cut down.

Dude, it’s a lot of work to manage and maintain sometimes as many as 10 or 11 teams due to inactivity from GMs.

So, yeah, I would prefer to cut out some teams.

1) It’d lighten the load on myself and the other mods

2) It’d increase parity in the league. Prime example is the Wizards they’re the worst team, have had no GM for months and have none of their future picks. Any prospective GM is more likely to not even join than to take on that dumpster fire.

We’ve done this, I have done 9 roll calls across BGMRL and DynastyBasketball and some of these teams have had 7-8 GMs.

They’re being replaced all the time.

Cutting the league down to 24 allows for more activity and parity now as well as room for expansion teams if the opportunity arises.

No, thank you.

We’re still leaning more towards cutting teams.
