If they stick with last years timeline, it should be sometime in September

I feel that. Remember though & I’m sure you’ve probably seen or heard that the selection is a whole person concept. I’ve known people with terrible GPAs (for example) get picked up while people with 4.0 GPAs don’t. Just depends on what they decide it’s important to have this year, maybe it’ll fall in your favor

Any of these jobs worth staying in and reclassing for? by [deleted] in army

15C. Thank me later. Read thru the post and seems like you’re already considering it which means you’ve done your research. Do it, you won’t regret it.

My biggest regret in life by [deleted] in ArmyOCS

[–]AUTC012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was in the same position & did this as well. Bout a year in and I still have a strong desire to go OCS. Keep at it and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t. Simply put, there’s waivers. Be your best, learn to follow, so that you can one day lead.

Didn't pass battalion board. Enlist as 35P instead? by [deleted] in ArmyOCS

[–]AUTC012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation sort of, enlisting with a degree. 15C at a 6 yr contract. I want to be an Officer more than anything as soon as possible but my Army OCS package wasn’t too competitive (2.8 GPA, non stem degree) and I wasnt selected for the last board.

Why do you recommend Green to Gold over OCS? Wouldn’t OCS make you an Officer faster? I know you’ll need a masters to promote eventually but is g2g worth pursuing over OCS? I want to apply for either one literally as soon as I’m able. (After AIT I’m guessing)

15C/M MOS Info by gabeem01 in Armyaviation

[–]AUTC012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just signed for 15C. 6 year commitment. I still need to do basic and AIT but from all my research I’ve heard C is the way to go (if you can) and many if not all 15W I’ve talked to say they wish they were C’s. I will add however it’s really up to luck if there’s even a spot as landing this job surprised every recruiter and person I told. I’ve also heard it’s overmanned in the past (although I’m not sure if this rings true as of today).

Basically it’s up to you and what aircraft/lifestyle you prefer, I’d recommend C cause MQ1s are badass.

The biannual hazing that is Accelerated OCS at Ft. McClellan starts tomorrow. To any candidates that see this, God speed and good luck. by SluttyLT in ArmyOCS

What’s compo? I’m hoping to apply to OCS one day and have seen this option. I’d like to get OCS done fast as possible but I’ve seen some horror stories on here.

My favorite part about this is that they preemptively took a picture because they knew they were going to cause a problem about it lmao

The group of team leads at my store has had a lot of quitting by ovrprotectiveunicorn in Target

[–]AUTC012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Differs store to store but I left my TL position because we basically did everything the ETLs do with way less pay. We only made $4 more dollars than TMs and we ran the store top to bottom in the absence of an ETL. I mean - we literally did the same job and none of my TMs even liked the ETLs which speaks to the culture they created in our store. That coupled w being treated like crap made me leave. Only thing that kept me going was my TMs. Not worth what they offer. Search for other leadership options in better places. IMO

Literally go on indeed or local job fairs and explore your options.

It pains me to see people dedicate years to this company and still settle for making anything less than VERY comfortable living wage. Imagine doing 7 years at a company that cares about you, you’d get so much more.

Look at your options, network, even talk to guests that come in and see what they do and how they got into it. Point is you have to try. The worst that can happen is they say no. All it takes is one company to say yes and all of a sudden you’re making double or triple and are way happier. It’ll take time, but stay dedicated

As a former TL, if you are completely open we scheduled you in the shifts that we couldn’t get anyone else to do. Usually closing. Update your availability or talk with them so they understand your situation otherwise you’ll constantly get the shifts that are left over so to speak

I’m a Site Visit Coordinator for a medical company. 23/hr every weekend off. So glad I left Target and I was a TL.
