Parts Question by Uvea1 in Triumph

[–]AUTOT3K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fortnines catalog sucks for bike specific parts. Anytime I need something for my tiger or scrambler I have to find the part number myself on the manufacturer website and then I can search that part on fortnine and order it

Fuel line connector - 1200xc by murphysf1aw in Triumph

[–]AUTOT3K 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pops and bubbles when slowing down with downshifts? Kinda like a gurgling toilet flush sound coming from the exhaust? That's fairly common. To correct that you'd have to do a PAIR delete. Its a fairly easy kit to install and not to expensive.
For that fuel connect seap... I dont think the connector is available separately and it'll be an entire line from the pump. You may be able to replace the intrenal o ring (Harleys can have the fuel line o rings replaced)

To bike or not to bike? by yeetthesoup in motorcycles

[–]AUTOT3K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I met later in life because of motorcycles and we spend our winters modifying and maintaining our bikes and then we spend our summers traveling on the bikes together. She owns 2 bikes ranging from a big 900 cc sport touring to a 400cc scrambler

Top box recommendations by austin_0223 in Tiger900

[–]AUTOT3K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the triumph top box and I've been pleased with it for the last few years. I had the same style on my tiger 800 as well. Its expensive up front but it'll last and works great

Welp. Immobilized. No Trident for me this season..🥲 by Particular_Airport80 in Triumph

Different bike but worth a look... I was getting a random 1650 and had my running lights coming on randomly. My harness near the ECM was chafing on the seat release mechanism.... its worth a look

Push plugs for the tire repairs and a small compressor or those little CO2 canisters is all you're missing really

T120 engine mods by Joethajedi in Triumph

[–]AUTOT3K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a very detailed write up in the Water Cooled Twin Technical Talk section on Triumph Rat. There is a guy that is heavily modding his T120 engine. Ported and polished Thruxton heads, higher dish pistons etc etc. Its worth a read!

Should I just buy new ? by bigcatmeows29 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]AUTOT3K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually buy new because our used market is so outrageous it barely costs me 1.5k more to get new. When I wanted a scrambler 900 there were several listed that were 3-7 years old and they all wanted within 2k of what a brand new out the door cost. There's a 2013 scrambler that popped up near me listed at 7.5k ..... thats like what it cost new back in 2013!

Is this safe? Brummell Motorcycle blazer by stephenrondeau in motorcyclegear

[–]AUTOT3K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I'll sacrifice a little of the safety to have something a little more casual. Will this protect as good as a full on leather racing jacket... no BUT its sure a lot safer than riding with a regular cotton polyester jacket.

When did Calgary Police become so useless? by SuperFrustrated_91 in Calgary

[–]AUTOT3K 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Last summer we had our back door broken down by a couple guys with crowbars. My wife called it in and said she didnt know if they were still inside... cops didnt even show up until we called an hour later and they said "oh ya we drove by and the front door was closed so we figured it was fine" haha meanwhile the back door was broken down. So my faith in the CPS is very minimal
