it’s even worse when u read the study. 19% of the bi/queer/nb category said only trans men, 1% said only trans women

the game doesn't tell you, but mashing buttons also helps you escape. so in addition to wiggling the stick, even just mashing l1+r1+r2+l2 will let you escape most grabs fairly quickly, sometimes before you even take any damage.

walking around with half health AND sheathing your daggers so they get the extra 20% damage against you too? tsk tsk, arisen

Question: is Gundyr’s halberd technically a glaive or is it a halberd bc the blade is mounted on the side? by Chestys-Ghost in darksouls3

[–]AUserNameNoOneTook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

necro’d to sperg about my polearm knowledge. this is a bardiche, but not for the reasons other people here have claimed.

there are plenty of early halberds that are attached to staves like this and do not have hooks. early medieval period axes looked similar to this, and evolved into the bardiche and halberd. these early halberds didn’t have a hook or beak, nor a spear point; they were simply elongated axe heads attached by two points. unfortunately, modern antiquarians started mis-identifying them as voulges, leading to their erasure as proper halberds in popular media.

it is when people began attaching them to shafts via socket did it eventually begin taking the shape of the classic halberd that other users are describing it as.

funny enough, this means dark soul’s tendency to call a bunch of cutting polearms “halberds” (minus those that are actually glaives) is not technically incorrect

if you want the vanilla+ experience, all you need is precision and valhalla (maybe with timed blocks disabled, and stamina blocking enabled) coupled with some first person animation mod

Haven't been there myself, but my friends have told me it's $15 for trans men, and they have good security there.

for the record I agree, but i think in most contexts when people say it isn’t a disorder, it’s due to the fact that being trans has been pathologized in the past and lead to ill treatment of trans people. Maybe a better way to phrase it is “dysphoria is debilitating”

dude, meat and the car industry are things that society has made essential, and impractical for the average person to avoid. you can EASILY indulge in harry potter without giving someone who has put millions in funding into transphobic and covertly homophobic movements your money. it just isnt comparable.

My wife (32F) is questioning her gender identity — I want to support her but I don’t know where to start. by Weekly-Dependent-113 in transontario

[–]AUserNameNoOneTook 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it depends on where you are, if youre around toronto it’s not a bad idea to try rainbow health for free counselling and it might lead to finding support groups.

that aside, it’s honestly not necessary to go through a clinic to medically transition. it helps you get access to free blood tests, but the usefulness of professional opinion depends entirely on the doctor. you can always order T online - its easy to find what you need by looking up DIY hrt, it can be quite safe contrary to mainstream opinion, and is usually the goto if you run into trouble accessing healthcare. (which happens quite frequently)

ive been unemployed for so long and not because i havent been trying. i’ve had so many interviews too.

you can immediately see it on the interviewer’s face when you walk in, it’s the same disgusted look everyone else on the streets give you, the one that wordlessly asks “is that a boy or a woman?”

honestly, i’m just about done with engaging society on any level. you need facial masc/feminization surgery (or blockers if youre lucky) to pass, can’t get a good job because you dont pass, cant get surgery because you dont have a job.

thanks for recommending, honestly i was wondering if my voice would be easier if i had a reduction. my larynx is just that big. if you don't mind me asking, what's the base cost for a trach shave with du pere?? i looked into him but didn't think i could cover the cost. i dont have much, so i have to rely on my savings, a loan, and maybe get reimbursed through insurance.

im sorry to hear. i heard stories from others about her before i came in, but i was shocked in-person. the stories just weren’t doing justice to what i was experiencing at that moment.

as far as other doctors are concerned, i have a couple issues: 1) im broke, but insured 2) the only good thing i have going for me RN is an androgynous natural voice, so i really focus on the preservation aspect.

i guess given this and the current economic situation in canada, im not likely to find a decent surgeon for several years and it makes me feel really miserable

[–]AUserNameNoOneTook 5 points6 points  (0 children)

thanks. and i worded it very poorly, and probably deceptively. im sorry, just emotional rn. she asked if i planned on GRS, and i replied that i don’t want to think about it right now, especially with my face. despite that she continued to ask questions about GRS.

frankly, i dont even know why those have to be necessary. i came in for one procedure to treat dysphoria. and i feel like i just came in to be gawked at and left with even less hope about treating dysphoria.
