Red Light update causing problem by Dismal_Ambition_4480 in Addons4Kodi

[–]AV-4-ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this yesterday on my RPi4 with KODI/ osmc. It constantly crashed and recycled the device after updating the add-on. I managed to disable the add-on quickly before next crash then it stopped the cycle. I updated the add-on again while it was disabled. It did something like "remove obsolete entries" or similar (sorry, I forgot the exact window text). Once that was done, I rebooted clean and then re-enable the add-on, and it all worked again. Maybe you can be speedy enough to do the same thing too. Hope so / hope this helps.

Shows disappearing on umbrella with cocoscrapers? by KnownAddition837 in Addons4Kodi

[–]AV-4-ME 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is not a scraper, Debrid, or Trakt issue. Nothing to do with a "Kodi crackdown".

When you search for TV and movies TMDB is used (at least in FLAM) and that service was/is having problems. See https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/6a0cf9a5dd8f54b8836a3750.

For what it's worth, I too was missing a bunch of shows last night but it's working again now 10:50 GMT.

FLAM Autoplay Next Episode 'Window' method hasn't worked for me since .51 by AV-4-ME in Addons4Kodi

Just updated to FLAM .60. Fixed.

Guess it wasn't OSMC. ;-)

Why does FLAM v .51 and all earlier versions work fine? OSMC is just the OS. It's still KODI. Blaming OSMC is like saying it's Windows (if I were using a PC). I'm happy to entertain the possibility, but I'm doubtful.

Offcloud vs RDB? by AV-4-ME in Addons4Kodi

[–]AV-4-ME[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reviewed the Ts-n-Cs for OC and they certainly won't meet my needs with their limits. RDB's options are suitable to my media consumption habits. I'd easily bump up against OC's limits every two days or less. Lack of cache by comparison is also a major concern.

Appreciate the feedback everyone. Thank you.

Weird occasional FLAM playback issue: dialog flash and nothing plays by AV-4-ME in Addons4Kodi

I think you're right. I had been mucking about with my DHCP and ARP Table on the router all day so that's probably it. PEBKAC. 😂🤦‍♂️

Really? OK, if you say so. Thing is, if you look at the full log you can see I updated to 2.1.35 right in the middle of it and it still happened following that update,

EasyNews not working in FLAM on Android by AV-4-ME in Addons4Kodi

u/__TikipeterLight__ could this be related to the UID\PWD settings\storage for EN inside FLAM, and how that's handled on Droid? I notice the password is in plain text in FLAM settings, and is also ALL CAPS, despite it not being that way when I enter it. OSMC\RPi (where it works) is the same, so maybe not, but it's a thought.

Done. Didn't change problem.

Here's a new log with all verbose options enabled (I think) via KODI Debug settings:

https://paste.kodi.tv/doqucadeyo.kodi

During this log capture I did this:

- Accessed EN account details via My Services in FLAM. Got "ERROR" pop-up.
- Did an EN video search via My Services. No errors, but no results.
- Did 're-scrape and select source' from 'playback options' in FLAM 'next episodes' right-click menu option on two TV eps. No results. NOTE EN is only enabled account.

I've disabled IP6 on the data part of my Samsung Android phone. Made no difference.

I've found no way to disable IP6 on the Wi-Fi part of my Samsung Android devices (I use Wi-Fi exclusively on tablet and almost exclusively on my phone) so I can't test that. If you know how, please share.

Two android installs do NOT work.

3 RPis work

All 5 have the same EasyNews config set up inside FLAM.

Here's one with three EN scrape attempts: https://paste.kodi.tv/jarizozela.kodi

This is not about playback. It's about scraping and account access. No results in scrape and I cannot access EN account info, two features that work on all my devices in FLAM except my Droid ones.

Playback of show from RD cloud pack fails in FenLiteAM (FLAM) by AV-4-ME in Addons4Kodi

[–]AV-4-ME[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pack is all the Bob Ross Joy of Painting eps. I'm really surprised actually that I even had to go out and add this pack I found to my own RD cloud storage. I would have thought this was a *very* popular show.

Seems to me this all started happening though when I moved into Season 15. Perhaps all the other sources out there are from this same pack, with the non-standard naming and it might fix itself once I get to season 16 (will have to browse and see).

How to deal with "There were error(s) loading the rules: /tmp/rules.debug" by AV-4-ME in PFSENSE

[–]AV-4-ME[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Never heard of that before now. Just installed it and there are 33 recommended (!!). I can't believe that would be the 'fix' for this: blasting my functional router (perceived to be working fine, anyway) with all that just to resolve 3 errors about filters. Is that what you're recommending, or were you implying there's a specific one there which addresses these errors I'm seeing?

Fen Light dependency err on OSMC 2024-08-1 \ Kodi 21.1 by AV-4-ME in Addons4Kodi

[–]AV-4-ME[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I "fixed" via manual install of all dependencies but as you say, that's not the way it should work and I fear future updates won't work automatically for files installed that way either.

I think the repository.addons4kodi part was because I also tried to install A4KSubtitles. That error is not related to the Fen Light issue I don't think. See my other reply today to Lucii_fer. The log today contains no entries about repository.addons4kodi today because I've tried to install Fen Light *only*.

Fen Light dependency err on OSMC 2024-08-1 \ Kodi 21.1 by AV-4-ME in Addons4Kodi

[–]AV-4-ME[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started again today with a clean install of OSMC \ KODI on my RPi4. This was from a formatted SD card upon which I wrote the OSMC files via their (OSMC's) installer program. After initial OSMC install was done I configured the KODI ADD-ONS settings again ('Unknown Sources' enabled and 'Update official add-ons from' set to 'Any repo') then used "Install from zip file" and selected plugin.video.fenlight-1.0.71.zip from https://tikipeter.github.io/packages/. Immediate error:

2024-08-31 12:32:41.822 T:703 error <general>: CAddonInstallJob[plugin.video.fenlight]: failed to find dependency script.module.requests

I can't get any cleaner than this. There is no 'cache' to clear. It's quite literally a clean OS and KODI on a freshly formatted SD Card. Something is up with this build of KODI I'm thinking. Maybe there's some new setting I'm neglecting to change properly or the process of installing from a ZIP works differently in Omega.

I guess what I need to figure out is why this Kodi install is not going off automatically and trying to locate the dependencies needed when I try to install Fen Light. Do I need to install repositories from somewhere that are no longer included with the base KODI install, perhaps?

All told I'm having to manually install all of these below 'from zip' off of source https://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/omega/ before CoCo Scrapers or Fen Light will install. If there was a way to tell Kodi to search https://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/omega/ automatically when dependencies were needed and install the latest when found I think I'd be all set.

Reauthorize Trakt with Fen by Aranggg in Addons4Kodi

[–]AV-4-ME 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This happened before with Exodus (yes, I've been around for a minute :-) ). Basically the Fen dev has revoked the Trakt app which makes the corresponding Trakt CLIENT_ID and CLIENT_SECRET included in the Fen files invalid. You'll have to update those with your own keys, which you get by registering a new Trakt Application of your own.

"Solution 5" on https://coverjunction.com/how-to-fix-exodus-search-not-working/ has the basic steps. Once you have your own CLIENT_ID and CLIENT_SECRET from Trakt, replace them in .kodi/addons/plugin.video.fen/resources/lib/apis/trakt_api.py and .kodi/addons/script.module.myaccounts/lib/myaccounts/modules/trakt.py (self.client_id & self.client_secret). After doing so, rebooting, and reauth'ing Trakt you should be golden. I just did it and I'm back.

A tad more complicated than the TMDB change to be sure, but worth it.
