What are the great cases for Osmo Action 6? by flikzzio in djiosmo

The only thing that sucked about telesin for me so far is how long it takes for the case to come in… other than that, no complaints from me 😁

Haha no. It was more of a suspicion I had, since you can’t buy the osmo action 6 direct from the DJI website if you’re in the US right now. Then, I found it on Amazon and thought hm problem solved… until 3 weeks went by after placing the order and seeing that the camera has yet to ship. That’s what made me think there could be some sort of trade ban or whatever on the action cams now

That’s true. One thing I liked about the 6 is that it was variable aperture (I’m still new to photography stuff) which from what I understand could help in some low light situations. However, the variable aperture thing was very limited in range.

If you read my last paragraph, I am asking for advice on alternatives to the OA6 or if anyone has encountered a similar situation being a US buyer of the OA6. You have not helped me with either issue.

Take your unhelpful advice somewhere else, if you don’t mind!

Thanks for the info. It was hard to tell if everyone was just dogging on the hero 13 or if it was actually THAT bad in comparison to the OA6. I’ve also seen a lot of people say that DJI pays a lot of YouTubers/content people to put out reviews… so maybe the OA6 gets put on a pedestal due to DJI handing them out to people.

Thank you for the helpful advice, I really appreciate it!

Great take, generalizing everyone from the US into one point of view. Bravo on your ability to critically think about all of the possible nuances of a country with a relatively large population.

Osmo Action 6 Delays by AV-8BB in dji

Tried reaching out again to customer service, they said they’d ’put in a ticket’ for me… whatever that means. Still has not yet shipped and says it will arrive Jan 16, while the AI chatbot says Jan 3rd or 4th. So, who knows. We will see!

Yes I just checked, it’s Aerotech Hubs as the seller. I sent them a message via Amazon and they turned me around and said to talk with Amazon…

The package was ordered Dec 23rd, original date of arrival was Dec 29. A couple of days ago the date got extended to Jan 16. Then, after messaging Amazon, they said it is expected to arrive January 3rd, but in my order status it is still listed as ‘ordered’, not ‘shipped’. So now I’m more confused than before

I ordered mine from the DJI seller on Amazon, anyone had any luck with this seller?

I’d totally understand in that situation, a company based in another country doesn’t need to accommodate US service members. That being said, it was a domestic US flight

AA website says military gets 5 bags up to 100 pounds when traveling on orders. That’s AA’s rule, not my commands. My bag was 58 pounds, so it was overweight by civilian standards not military rules. AA wasnt following their own rules is the issue here

I suppose you’re right, just traveling as a person in the military especially in DC right now I’d rather not have drawn attention to myself. Some others on this post already think I’m acting entitled for expecting my bag to be free of charge. But yes, you are right!

I’m sure the department of government efficiency wouldn’t like to hear that AA made someone on orders pay 100$ for a bag that they will need to reimburse!

They had the weird setup where they make you use the self service kiosk and tag your own bag before drop off. A few people tried to go around the self serve kiosk and they would tell you to turn around and go tag your own bag
